Parkour Generations is beautiful! I love it, not just because of amazing feats, but because the symbolism of leaping over the urban barriers resonates with all of us.

I like the way this video was made, very stylised, the music adds a edge to this production too.

even though i have never done parkour.I can somehow feel what parkour is like when im watching it.Its a sense of freedom and invincibility and that you cant be touched.I want to feel that and learn parkour so bad.

Very nice! The most sophisticated urban athletes I've ever seen. Their moves are so smooth and effortless, they're like...city ninjas styling in suits! Amazing! ^_^

Really well done, only a few difficult parkour tricks, but definitely the prettiest filming I've ever seen in a parkour vid. Great job.

    Yes, it is.
Parkour is the efficient way of coming from point A to point B. And it's the creative art of movement.
Parkour Generations is one of the clearest and technically best Traceurs I've seen.

You're absolutely right, people use parkour and freerunning interchangeably, however they are different. As you pointed out parkour is to get from one point to another efficiently. If that means running in a one long straight line, so be it. Freerunning is more for show and style.

I just love the controversy in this video... Two opposites put together in one juicy, city-life video. Even without the spectacular acts this video should be able to win a prize. I love the idea. It's so simple but yet so well-considered. My only concern is that the biggest part of the audience will watch it for the 'parkour'-part. If you get chosen by the YT awards, I'll vote.
    Greetings,
    Edhilthoniel

well, the fact of the matter is that there is such an activity where one trains to get to a destination as quickly as possible and activity where you do whatever.
It's just a general concensus that the former is called Parkour and the latter is called freerunning.

To reply to tosterlamp: you could say that about anything. Basketball for example. 'All they do is run back and forth and throw a ball around.' Or UA-cam: all you do is watch videos and then comment and then get mad when people disagree with you.' If you take that outlook on life, there's not much point in anything. in conclusion, parkour is awesome.

no its not :( Parkour does not involve flips or rotations it is completely about efficiency and practicality (not sure if thats a word :P) while free running is as they say freedom of movement - being able to use your body to move in incredible ways (flips etc)
