- Destiny will feature four enemy races; the Fallen, Hive, Cabal and Vex. Today, I breakdown everything we know about the Cabal.
Unfortunately, There isn't any hands-on gameplay of the Cabal, so I had to recycle footage from trailers and use a few images.

Praetorian?
Sounds like another cut piece of content...
Sam Lund I think he was assuming Praetorians were Cabal but they are Vex Minotaurs, he even stated they are in the VOG an this was uploaded before destiny was released so he didn't know about the legions etc
Finally had a chance to fight against all 4 of the enemies in the game. I originally thought the Vex were gonna be my favorite, but after a while, sorry, but the Cabal are now my favorites, though Vex are still pretty awesome. The Cabal like you said are a powerful militaristic empire consisting of giant behemoths who's sheer size is highly intimidating. The classes are well varied, and the colossus Cabal I just think are some of the most badass enemy classes ever. I mean come on, not only is their armor the coolest, but they get a fucking minigun and can shoot missiles out of their backs. After this, ALL GLORY TO THE CABAL EMPIRE!!!!
Simplistic Version of this: The Cabal are giant fat metal death machines of war.
Just so everyone knows, Praetorians are elite Vex Minotaurs, you can find them at the entrance to the Vault of Glass currently in game right now
The Cabal are my favorite, they look very intimidating but at the same time easy/hard to kill, it would actually feel like a war when you fight them
The Cabal Phalanxes also come equipped with smartphone cameras implanted into their shields.

Cabals remind me of the Brutes in Halo but much more devastating and organized also seems they arent as dumb as the brutes were. Awesome video man keep it up

In destiny 2 the new cabal is called the Red Legion they have a leader known as Gaul and they have changed alot

I like the Cabal. Especially when you first encounter them int the mission Exclusion Zone. Your ghost was hacking their network when he hits a Fail safe and gets detected. All the sudden the giant hanger door slowly opens just to reveal a line of Phalanxes with Centurions in the back with a giant Harvester dropping down Legionaries while its shooting missiles at you. Lol thats when you say Ohhh Fuck! Lol
Please keep in mind that this video was made before Destiny was released, so there are some minor mistakes, but before anyone tells me that something is wrong, I do see the mistakes now that we have played the game.

Anybody else feel like the cabal are the roughest of all four enemies.
I like how the Cabal classes are based of ancient Roman military and the Vex classes are based on ancient Greek mythology.
In my humble Opinion, the Cabal looks and feels like the ELITES from Halo, but the Cabal seems to be more bolder than that and that's what i like about them.
Elite? I thought they are beef up Brute. The Fallen look like Elite to me.

Something I found when I first ran into the Cabal is that it is not just centurions that have jump jets (not that I have run into them yet). Turns out all the legionaries have them. Seriously, those guys are NOT ment to fly.

Brilliant video, loving this little series and I thought I knew a lot about Destiny but learnt a lot from this! Mind when you speculated about the Praetorians protecting the leader, that was a bit too off the track, because literally a second after the still shot you took, you see the name of that unit is still a Phalanx, the colour scheme is probably based on the battalion/group they belong to, much like how Fallen colours work.

Are the colossus's suits really big, or are the cabal that are in them just naturally really freaking large?
I think that these guys will really be the only ones that will cause my team issues.
i just cant help comparing them to the brutes in halo 3 and reach. But much more diverse. just the overall feel they have a very animalistic nature mixed with roman strategy.

I found 2 lvl 26 Praetorians in Venus and they aren't Cabal but Vex robots.

Praetorians are actually an upgraded and far deadlier version of the Minotaur, the Vex heavy

This was made before the game out. Since Praetorian was caesars bodyguard in ancient rome, it was easy to speculate that it would be some type of cabal
Destiny overwatch the praetorian is in venus some where so is the oracle close to the same spot i slayed the oracle but the praetorian i think can only be killed in vault of glass

oh! and how to see a cabal face is to activate your pike wait do a headshot and activate your pike and roll him over and you will see the turtle face.(:
Or, you can kill him without a headshot so he falls back, and then shoot the mask off.
You said the only legions are the Seige Dancers and Sand Eaters. What about the Dust Giants and Sky burners?

Tip for killing the Phalanx: Shoot their exposed arm and then shoot the head. (Aim a tiny bit further from the arm though!)
The one thing about the phalanx that I don't like is that they're the same as any other enemy with a shield in any game.
Shoot their arm, shoot their face, done. It's a trope.
Alternate tip: use a rocket.
Too bad the cabal got almost no introduction in the story whatsoever...

Sorry to bum you guys out, but I've already seen a praetorian. They're not from the Cabal, they're a special kind of minotaur found in Vex bases.
Omg the Cabal race are terrifying creatures they are big and very ugly too i would hate to run into them when i get my hands on this game and play it.

commiedeer Yes. Sunsinger warlocks have a upgrade for their scortch melee attack to generate a shield around the player upon hit. Same goes with a defender titan, but the melee has to be a kill hit for it to activate.
That was a good fucking video. Thought it was gonna be some generic, obvious observations about the Cabal that anyone could pull out of their ass to make a video, but no. It was actually very interesting.
