Karl's Bait and Tackle is the bomb. Such a cool company with good people, give em' another shot sometime. That soft plastic Zuchi Bug actually has a great action on a Carolina rig. It doesn't require a lot of movement to get a lot of action out of it which is perfect when your really trying to pull those reaction strikes (like now in the Fall). It mimics a sort of bug-like crawfish movement and in my experience, bass seem to go nuts for it. But since you like more natural looking soft-plastics maybe try out the 10,000 fish Shimmer Shad. That thing is the bomb on a weightless Texas rig. You can use it like a soft plastic fluke and really cash in on those Fall strikes. Great video Brendan, tight lines bud.

I just bought my first set of Googan baits and was impressed as well. Only draw back is the softness of the plastic. Definitely 1 fish per bait most likely. Good video as usual. Maybe you can do an Ohio based lure round up to showcase some more local bait makers.

Googan baits were really good for me, and I too had problems with durability. Fishing gets expensive sometimes

The spitfire is an amazing topwater bait IMHO. I have the 6in for bigger bites but it has an amazing subtle action

I use the Bandito Bug as a trailer on football jigs.its caught me some nice bass and unlike most other Googan baits soft plastics,I don't have to replace it very often

You’re kinda missing the point of the zuchi bug, you can pull of the appendages to make it look more like a craw or a wounded baitfish
