Had a difficult time getting a sense of the Phase 90 on here in comparison, since it was engaged the least and kind of rushed. Liked the format, though.
@@mrmet7 Yeah, the DOD is lush and warm. How do you think the MXR script 90 (LED model) compares in tone to the DOD? I haven't tried the reissue MXR yet, but I have a 1981 Phase 90 that I like pretty well....
@@juno4494 Well to my ear the script 90 is very well balanced, clear and simply sounds good, whereas the DOD is warm and rich, but at times can sound a bit muddy? It's kinda like the spruce top vs the cedar top for the classical guitar. I still tend to play the DOD more though (and I've also been a cedar guy for about 20 years haha)
I was thinking about getting a PT-01, but after hearing this demo, it seems like a good investment :)
Yeah man I don’t think it’s something everyone looks for in a phaser but there are some settings on it that can be fun. Thanks for checking out!
@@mrmet7 Yeah, in general for me the more knobs something has the better :P
More possible sounds of course

Nice! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
I had the DOD--very nice warm, lush tone, but the shift effect is so subtle, almost muted, that I could hardly hear it on settings below 12 o-clock.
I see what you mean. But like you say, that tone!

@@mrmet7 Thanks for the tips!
@@juno4494 thanks a lot for checking out man!
Really good review, thanks...MXR is the classic defined sound. DOD sounds too much like a tremolo. Maxon shouldn't even be there.
Thanks for watching!
Hi. Is the DOD phasor similar to the MXR Phase 90 ? Thanks
I'd say the DOD has more low ends, may be too muddy for some? I like the DOD slightly more. Thanks for checking out!
