Great atmosphere in this song! Korpiklaani are Sami people, and Sami are the oldest inhabitants of Finland.

Kokko, a mythical bird of iron and fire from Finnish folklore similar to Phoenix

Just to show my superiority in everything I MUST tell you, that in modern Finnish "Kokko" Means a bonfire, but in the old way of speech (1400 -1800) and in the Finnish national epic Kalevala, it means an eagle or in some instances The Great Eagle, which is the case in this particular song. I should know, because I'm a finn that is actually interested in history, ancient religions and national traditions.

As an American, the minutes= I meet a Finn I will greet him, and congratulate him on being the descendent of the Finnish defenders of the Winter war, I would compliment his music, and continue to not fuck with steel balled finns!

@MegaOltsu Thanks for your corrections... I only now parts of finnish language. My home of knowledge about history and religion.. etc. lies more in my ancestoral part of Eurasia... RUSSIA. But I like almost all cultures and history.

One mistake in the video: the photo of this eagle is from a species that live in northerne america, not europe.

if kokko would mean campfire(bonfire) in this case, Tuli kokko would mean Came campfire. Tulikokko, in other hand would mean campfire/bonfire

Tuli kokko, ilman lintu meáns: The eagle came, a bird from air.
Kokko in modern time really is campfire, but not in this form.

@AntiUmah To be honest I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, or how my comment went on to go on about Serbs, possibly Bosnian conflict? I wrote that compliment to express my interest in Finnish history, and their culture, not be bashed for being American. That's all I'm going to do, or say, to reply to this,

@AntiUmah Dude, I don't give a shit about What our government did, I don't give a shit about Christianity or anything like that, to be honest. My government has done bad things, and I honestly don't care right now, I said, ''As an American'' to show that Finland was getting Kudos from some one from another country, not to have a political talk. Please, just stop talking.

  • @myomai

@AntiUmah It's a shame you "defended" christianity and wasted your lives for a silly cause. There are so many great peopel and cultures in the balkans that just wasted your lives fighting for the same god jehova/allah in your minds, but in reality you just fought and bled for your rulers and profiteers.
