I am suffering from a lot of physical pain. At times, it is unbearable. I often play this song, and I am an eagle soaring above the mountains and above the pain. Thank you Jon Henrik for sharing this with the world.
This guy had a concert in my home town tonight over at the Hotel, which is a kilometer from here. I sat out on the porch having a smoke, when this song echoed from there, and filled the Nordic summer sky. What a friggin' feeling! Almost like the Angels themselves were singing. Sent shivers down my spine. I didn't even know this guy existed and I had to research him when I came back inside. This guy just captures Scandinavia with his music.
Scandinavia or more specifically Sweden. A land that oppresses the sami people and let suicide be the option out. Sweden is a great country and I am from there but the sami story and the current situation is just as sad as the native Americans. If the angels sing this I won't be hearing it because I am not Christian ;) but is sure is divine.

I heard this song for the first time today. I see a wonderful awakening to the light. An inner garden blooms within me, which shines in me, into me, through me, to the surrounding world... it is an endless space of light of love... It is me, space, love, light and I shine with everything...

This is my memorial song for my dog Rosa. I played this song all the way to the vet in hope that it would ease her pain, and I played it on the way home, to try to ease mine. Every time I play this song she is close to me and I relive the grief of loosing her. I have asked my family to play this song in my funeral, hoping it can help me to be reunited with her. I heard this song today for the first time. I was speechless for a long moment because this song literally touched my heart. It's absolutely beautiful, the melody and especially how this joik transmits his feelings of the lost of his friend. A true friendship has a strong force just like true love, thus it cannot be described in words. Even though I don't understand the words, whether it has or not, it truly vibrated my soul, in which I was able to capture the emotions he expressed and despite that it has a sad background, it makes me feel in peace. It is proof that music is universal. : )
The beauty of this song, and others by Jon are that, being wordless allow the intensity of emotion through. It touches the soul of a listener who is open to sense the purity of song. Like many indigenous people who have been marginalised by modern society, I hope these songs bring them into the hearts and minds of everyone. Simply Beautiful.
An excellent example how music can be expressed in simply, but...the music has something more than the sounds themselves. It also has feeling, one of a kind. Greeting from Poland !

Wow. I am stressed out right now, for so many reasons. I listened to this song, because 'the story' of the artist was 'interesting'. While I listened, I experienced something I practically NEVER do. I didn't think. Of anything. I just listened. My brain was completely quiet. Needed that, so much. Can't thank the artist enough for this beautiful interlude.
I only discovered this tonight. I am touched beyond words. What is it about this lyric and melody and voice?? Straight from heaven or some other place for sure. I am so blessed to have heard this... My heart is at peace, yet it is so sad as well. Wow...
Same here, found it just now. Don't know why does it speak to me like that, maybe because of his huge love to the lost friend. Although the loved ones are gone or so far away, the love never ends. But we still miss them till one day we meet again on the other side.
It's Sami, which is Nordic. They're not actually lyrics, it's purely just melody with voice to give meaning/personality about something, someone, animals or anything. This guy was on Swedens Got Talent (I think it was Sweden) where he played this song for his audition, its for his friend Daniel who died. In other instances, calming joiks are used to calm reindeers and things. It's really a beautiful type of music, makes me wish I was nordic.
I came across this in 2018 when I was in final year of school-it really soothed me when I was struggling a lot, today I graduated college.. so many things happen over the past few years and this song helped me every time. The most beautiful thing I ever heard. Thank you Jon. Fills my heart, even though I have no idea what the words mean, you dont need to know...close your eyes and " feel".
well, just because I'm a nice guy, i roughly translated the Swedish translation Do you still walk by my side, my dear friend, Even though I don't see you anymore? Are you still down here on earth, Just as you're still in my heart? I'm still lying here pondering, It's lonely silent all around me, Tears bursts out and falls, By the thoughts of you. An angel here, that was left behind, Have now grown its wings, Where do you fly, now my angel? Where do you fly now? Say, do you fly through the gates of heaven? Or to the end of the world? Do you fly next to me? Or am I alone now? Wherever you are, my friend, Wherever the path leads you, Promise that you'll wait there, Until I meet you. I hope you're happy now, Just as I where with you, And the pain you have suffered, I hope is forgotten. Soar free, my dear friend, You are free now, And until we meet again, Goodbye, my angel. yw ^^
This was 7 months ago but... that is not a translation, because there are no words. It's a joik ; joiks are lyric-less. The voice is used just like an instrument. This is not Sami, it is not Swedish, it's just sounds without literal meaning. Oh, and by the way you copied that comment from Rose Buenavista.
well i do not know of how a joik actually is made, but i found a translation to swedish made by someone who was an actual sami. I only posted the comment because i found the lyrics to be beautiful and it also looked like it was legit, so dont quote me or anything but i guess you can still believe thats what the song is actually about :)
The Story behind that Joik is that Jon Henrik lost his best friend (Daniel) and one day he was sitting on his best friends cabin and prayed for his best friend, and as an answer from him he got that "text" and it got stuck on his mind so he wrote a song out of it all and it end up to be popular! He won the Sweden Got Talent! And all this i know because i'm from Norway and i understand Swedish a little bit :)
I was emotional listening to the song, but I almost cried when I read your comment! It's incredible how much native people look alike, no matter in what continent. To me that means that world was more united and people used to travel along the seas even before we can imagine!
@@nathimoon He's actually not ethnically native Same per se, he's colombian, adopted. Majority of same people nowadays look more white, but there are others that share looks with rest of natives.
Jon is from my country Colombia, I don`t understand even a word he speaks or sing and his beliefs are so different with us, his talent is so deep in his soul, I love his music and I felt it in my heart, he is awesome and amazing. So I ask "can you feel the rhythm running through your veins" he has Colombian blood. Cheers from Colombia. Jon was born in cali-Colombia, when he was 3 years old he left and lived from that moment in Sweden
Rylee R Well technically they're not Swedish. They're actually their own people. However they separate themselves by calling each other "Swedish same", "Norwegian same" or "Russian same" etc. And by my comment I meant that he consider himself to be a "Swedish same", not colombian. Sorry for the mixup.

Such a beautiful song and I love the way Jon has combined the traditional Lappish music into modern music. I have always been a fan of "joika", it has so much feeling in it.
It's indescribable that something with no words says so much. So beautiful, so sad... I feel like i can hear every word never spoken about his friend, in every note sung.
Heard this song for the first time today. As soon as I heard it I felt a chill run down my spine. I was just speechless. It makes me think about some places in Northern Europe..Everything is so quiet around and you can enjoy the silence looking at the sky full of stars under the moonlight and it's so cold but it doesn't matter 'coz you're happy, you're at peace with yourself and the rest of the world and there' s no place you'd rather be. You're in heaven already. Definitely one of the most beautiful sounds my ears have ever heard. Thanks for this masterpiece!

I first heard this song during an ayauascha ceremony. While I was journeying on ayauascha this song was playing in the background. I was in deep reflection of my life, all living things, humanity, the world, and how we are all connected via God's creation from infinite unconditional love. 4:23 Then I open my eyes and see my lover sleeping and feel our intense emotions of love and the absolute beauty of it all, and that how our love for each other is sacred. It's really beyond words. Hearing this song again makes me tear. Not from sadness, but from the awe of the sheer beauty of the world, universe and all of creation. ❤️❤️❤️

Merci pour ce magnifique voyage que je vis régulièrement chaque soir , en espérant le faire partager à quelqu'un d'important de ma, et de mes vies. 😇🌏🙏❤️
The most beautiful thing I ever heard. Thank you Jon. Fills my heart, even though I have no idea what the words mean, you dont need to know...close your eyes and " feel".
well, just because I'm a nice guy, i roughly translated the Swedish translation
Do you still walk by my side, my dear friend,
Even though I don't see you anymore?
Are you still down here on earth,
Just as you're still in my heart?
I'm still lying here pondering,
It's lonely silent all around me,
Tears bursts out and falls,
By the thoughts of you.
An angel here, that was left behind,
Have now grown its wings,
Where do you fly, now my angel?
Where do you fly now?
Say, do you fly through the gates of heaven?
Or to the end of the world?
Do you fly next to me?
Or am I alone now?
Wherever you are, my friend,
Wherever the path leads you,
Promise that you'll wait there,
Until I meet you.
I hope you're happy now,
Just as I where with you,
And the pain you have suffered,
I hope is forgotten.
Soar free, my dear friend,
You are free now,
And until we meet again,
Goodbye, my angel.

thank you. your really a nice person.
thx for translate !!!!
A sua música é uma CURA. É maravilhosa! Gratidão! Thanks a lot!💖
Don't know why...but this song touch my heart❤so beautiful❤love it❤ greetings from switzerland🤗
I lost my Best Friend recently. This song helps me get through. Thank you so much for that...
I'm norwegian too
En smuk nordmand er du i hvertfald 👍🏻
I was emotional listening to the song, but I almost cried when I read your comment!
It's incredible how much native people look alike, no matter in what continent.
To me that means that world was more united and people used to travel along the seas even before we can imagine!
@@nathimoon Yeah, it’s incredible! And It’s so beautiful too!
@@nathimoon He's actually not ethnically native Same per se, he's colombian, adopted. Majority of same people nowadays look more white, but there are others that share looks with rest of natives.
Absolutely stunning ❤️❤️❤️
Jon is from my country Colombia, I don`t understand even a word he speaks or sing and his beliefs are so different with us, his talent is so deep in his soul, I love his music and I felt it in my heart, he is awesome and amazing. So I ask "can you feel the rhythm running through your veins" he has Colombian blood. Cheers from Colombia. Jon was born in cali-Colombia, when he was 3 years old he left and lived from that moment in Sweden
He was 3 months old when he was adopted and he consider himself to be Swedish, not colombian. Sorry man hehe..
Yeah whatever, good for you, jajaja jejeje juaaaa juaaaaa juaaaa hehehe but he was born in Colombia. ok, sorry for you jajaja
LouieGrind Same don't see themselves as Swedish ;-) Sweden's original population.
Ok. greetings

YOUR VOICE MAKES MY SOUL CRY OUT, MUST BE THE DNA RESONATING PEACE BE ON YOU MY BROTHER
The language of the heart is such a powerful message. The love and loss of a dear friend is felt in every note, every beat and every sound of this hauntingly beautiful melody. Thank you so much for sharing this with us Jon Henrik.
This guy, I agree... is a breath of FRESH air..! I'm a guy from India, looking out for good music. Never been disappointed. Music is my life. If, my goosebumps are not raised withing 5 seconds of the song, I move on. There is too much talent out there...

Thank you so much for sharing this Joik of Daniel. Always remember my stay in Jokkmokk and the incredible Sami people and food and nature and Joiks.
This guy has an amazingly powerful voice that cuts down into your soul. There is a beautiful video of him singing with dogs on a snow sled. It brought tears to my eyes on such a simple level. I will never forget this track

Imagine yourself riding a horse on an endless green field... imagine THAT freedom... Forgetting all the trouble and problems and just fly, and fly into the infinity...

If you pull down the windows, kick out the windscreen. And that Cola in the glovebox? Pour it out on the 1000 dollar leather in the next seat. And don't stop until you run out of gas.

I'd go with something from Czech Republic rather than some Buds.
u can't fly on a horse. u might need weed for that.

Goosebumps. Goosebumps all over. Came here from Pilotviking's Instagram account.
By my grandpa's death bed I played this song for him and hoped that he would hear it wherever he is right now
I chose this song as one of the songs that we wanted to play at the funeral
It's 5 months ago now but I still miss him so much
This song will always a deep meaning for me now and memories
It takes a lot to make me speechless and cry. This made me speechless and cry. He is a very talented man - You can hear the sadness and strife in his voice, he has had struggles and he has a beautiful soul and voice. It is a privilege to listen to this man sing. Thank you Jon Henrik
I just heard it yesterday & it was AWESOME & AMAZING!!! This song definitely touched my heart & made me cry. i keep on listening to it over & over again.....GREAT THUMBS UP JON HENRIK!!! Your an amazing & inspirational singer ;)
This is a wonderful 3:55 4:00 song. It gives me a feeling of freedom. When I heard it the first time, the voice made me cry. I know that will be a song for the family when I'm dead.
so emotionally moving for me. i meditate and release my grief using your beautiful music. thank you.
Colombian talent in Sweden.
Greetings from Cartagena Colombia Jon Henrik 🇨🇴👍
Such a beautiful song and I love the way Jon has combined the traditional Lappish music into modern music. I have always been a fan of "joika", it has so much feeling in it.
Helt utrolig nydelig å høre på!
It's indescribable that something with no words says so much. So beautiful, so sad... I feel like i can hear every word never spoken about his friend, in every note sung.
Gavin Hunter
Stunning voice, stunning song. Daniel would be proud. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
spiritualmente perfetto, musicalmente grandioso, Grazie Jon
Wunderschön !!!
Bonjour a tous j' aime cette musique, un grand artiste, je vis en Belgique 👐👍
I think I have never heard anything that has touched me on such a deep level, I simply felt healing. It's like an angel singing. Thank you!
This is The Most Emotional & Love filled Song I have Ever heard!!
Thank You Jon Henrik Fjällgren!!!
I Lost My 2 Sisters only 11 months apart...
Today is the 4th Anniversary of My Older Sisters passing...
Du har en röst som går till historien Jon Henrik....bara älskar den...Tack !!
Love love love, so much love!! What a marvelous and majectic piece, goes straight to the heart and fills it with so much beauty. Thank u
Älskar denna låten . Den ger en inre frid och lugn . Tack ❤
