Hi there mr Peterson.. In this video you did the cowl side panels... look at the lower half of the side panel , you'll notice a squarish impression in the steel.. a 6" speaker fits perfectly into that spot.. I cut 5.5 " hole then mounted the speaker.. then modified an old 7" headlight bucket as an outside cover .. drilled1/4 " hole inside and above speaker for wire.. I wish someone would build it as an optional cowl panel...
Glad your back to making videos to keep me motivated! In my mind, I think the process is as fast as the video but in reality, it's a day's work doing a component or section and I bang my head against the wall thinking "How can this possibly take so much time to do"!
I kept thinking....I hope he seam seals the tophats. And he did!!! Of course he did. It's how he does it! Surprised at how many people don't do that. Well..... not really!
Do you find it more important for the alignment hole to match up or for the sheet metal to fit up in a relaxed state without forcing the metal to twist (to get the holes to line up)?
Great work as usual! I had a question about how the titles work on your cars: since you are replacing all the panels, the VINs that are stamped in will be lost. Does this cause any issues when the buyer goes to register the car with the DMV? For instance, I believe the VIN is stamped into the inner apron and it looks to be missing.
Love this guy. In short... parts come out of box, tape measure comes next , then welder and finishes with a broom. What more can you expect from a pro? Pure efficiency. Check out the opposite on my 68 GT fastback project on my channel TedBponycars
Near my friends old house, there was a 67 gta that a guy owned and his friend wrecked it one night is what he told us, but the engine is turned 45° towards the passenger and is shoved so far up into the firewall that the firewall is pressed against the back of the brake pedal (the break pedal isn’t bent either) and the transmission isn’t all that tilted but is shoved so far back in the tunnel that it’s crack the trans tunnel along both “seems” that touch the floor and one on the top of the tunnel. Plus the passenger door is so bowed out that you could fit an entire balled up fist inside the window slot without touching either side, he claims his friend was fine from the accident. Would a job similar to that be difficult restoration? (It’s been a while since I’ve seen the car so I may have remembered it a little extreme, but it was definitely close in description)
Love watching the mustangs coming back to run again......
Looking good! Way too short though. I could watch this all day. Looking forward to the next one! 👍

Amazed at what you can do. I hope to do business with you in the future.

Yes it's a process. Takes about a full month for me to do a shell and that's every day all day long.
Another one saved
Amazing work.

Cutting corners never pays off in the end
For those new to this channel watch wait and be amazed as the magic happens. This is how you restore a vehicle.
Wish they made these cowl pieces for the early Torinos. Auto metal direct should focus there next.
New car in its way
I got SO lucky finding a '68 that the previous owner had replaced ALL the rusty 50yo panels. . . AND for $500 bucks!😎🤙
Thanks for posting these videos. My question is how do you ensure the car stays square while the firewall and cowl and floor are all removed?
Do you find it more important for the alignment hole to match up or for the sheet metal to fit up in a relaxed state without forcing the metal to twist (to get the holes to line up)?
Wicked!
Awesone work!!! How did you pull this off without bracing it lol???!!! I ask because I'm going to do the exact same thing to my fox...
Ok so you never put weld Thur primer on areas getting welded together to prevent rust ?
How do you get rid of or control the rust on these cars on the metal that remains?
Where are you located I would like to hire you to do some work your work is great
Watches the video. Thinks to himself "hmmmm that looks easy"... Walks into shop "hmmmm maybe Netflix instead?"
Hahaha
I noticed you didn't replace the whole kick panel on the 67, is it possible?
What kind of primer do you go with and seam sealer
What kind of pad are you using under car between concrete floor?
It's just a big steel platform
Are you keeping and reusing many of the original outer panels?
Not for this car
Are you monatized ? No ads in this video

On 68 not all vins are on the apron actually quite a lot weren't most are on the dash
Why dit u not clean up the rust before u fit the new parts

I couldn’t own a car that has had this much body work , Frankinstine
You wouldn't do this if your weren't getting a healthy return on your investment...PLUS, you obviously love rebuilding "Tangs"!!!
