Arrival at Lal Bahadur Shastri International was quite the scene for a few minutes!
Upon arrival we noticed lots of elderly getting off the plane being escorted my what appeared to be their family members.
Varanasi is considered the most sacred city in all of Hinduism but it does have its dark pollution aspect to it as the Ganges River is known to be one of the most polluted water bodies on Earth.
Varanasi has over 50 Ghats which is typically where people who practice Hinduism perform religious ceremonies and rituals for the deceased.
Many Ghats are known to have significant historical meanings associated with legends and myths.
Also people are use the Ganges River and Ghats for daily routine things like doing laundry or bathing, even though how polluted and dirty the water is.
