    We are talking about defense for a pistol coming at you from a threat to your back, from the rear.
    Slow. I hear the threat. Naturally, you're going to turn to look right away. Once you turn to look, you've got to get out of the line of the gun. Therefore, a foot come and my body come, hand. Whack his hand, bring his hand to my chest and at the same time there is an elbow towards his face. This hand is held to my chest. It's held tight because and the end of it there is a firearm. From here I'm going to deliver a knee. One to the end of the hand. What you need to understand is there is a couple of issues here. First of all, for us is the innocent civilians. So this weapon is going to right away be directed towards the ground. This is a problem that a lot of people have because most of them will take the weapon and bring it into here, which will carry it into themselves. One, two. There is the whole issue of a finger in the trigger guard. That means that what I'm going to do over here, I'm going to bend the weapon halfway and now I'm going to push it out and strike him with the barrel towards the face and neck. From here, barrel is always to him, fresh round and I'm going to open up a gap. Please.
    A threat, we look, the turn is on the heel. Again and one. Again. If you want, and he's far, far you can even drag him somewhat. And one. Again, one. From here add a step, a pivot, grab his hand and elbow. Again and one and two. One, two, boom. Again. One, two, boom. Again and the whole thing in one. And one, boom. Grab his neck, knee him in the groin, put your foot down and continue to attack the gun. That means you sliding to the end of his hand, half rotation, pull it out and strike. Again, hand, one, boom. Grab two, slide on the hand, push it out, strike, and you're away. Thank you.
    Put a gun to the back. Let's start working slow. Remember, he is going to try and move away. You try and stay as close as you can to him. Turn around. Increase speed. Turn around. One more time. Okay, thank you.

    The better thing to do is listen and follow directions. You have a higher chance of surviving. Anyone holding a gun at you is going to be on edge, and will function on reflexes, so as soon as you move, they'll likely either shoot you, or move back and still keep you at gunpoint.

      yeah you probably would want to drop a bit lower than he did so that you NOT off balence. assuming the weilder of the gun isnt an idiot, he could at the moment smash into your sholder and make you do a faceplant. but if you go lowe in sutch a way that you lower your center of gravity, you will be harder to topple.

    If you are aware that a man with a gun is approaching you from behind with a gun, THIS IS YOUR BEST CHANCE. If you turn around you acknowledge his presence and appear threatening which warrants space. Stay calm and react fast when the man approaches. I also wouldn't turn around if the person calls out for your attention. Even if its obviously directed at you, respond without facing the person.

    The California DMV has statistics on human reaction. It tales 3/4 of a second to recognize a problem and another 3/4 of a second to react to it. The body is slow. You CAN take a gun away, but be ready for the shot that is loud and the gun may still be in his hand. He is pumped up with adrenalin before he even approaches you. If you are smaller, you might not take the gun and he is gripping it with white knuckles.

He CAN choose to stand afar from you at gunpoint on your back if he wanted to. You can't dodge bullets that fast mate, we're only human. If you can give me an explanation to me at how you're going to evade a gunman from what I said, then props to you. Otherwise, it's still a deathly ordeal.

    What most people don't realize is that human reaction time is slower that human action time. I did an experiment with a laser gun. And my body was never pained with the laser. If a cat could shoot a gun, these techniques wouldn't work because cats have faster reaction times. Hence the saying reflexes of a cat.

    Why can't he turn his wrist and shoot the chap The chap with blue pants is holding his arm what's to stop him tilting his wrist and shooting the chap ?

  • @elegantlyou
    @elegantlyou 11 років тому

    Exactly, and you even knew he was going to do it and you couldn't flick your wrist or do anything against them. If it would be in real life, the person holding the gun won't expect anything and it's gonna come out as a shock, therefore kind of paralised because his mind won't be able to come up with something to do against you. So you don't have to be Superman to be able to succceed at doing these techniques.

      The point is to move quickly and smoothly to catch your oppressor off gaurd. They will fight and attempt to not let you punish the. During practice your partner has to be relaxed and focused to not endure an injury. In a real life scenario your eblows would be aggressive and true.

    if I take the gun, do I shoot him. And even if I do or do not shoot him, what do I do with the gun after? I can't keep it.

      Hold the gun at the guy, Don't ever shoot him/her, if you do and the person didn't even harm you. You can be arrested for trying to murder someone, because even if the person threatened you, they did not try to physically harm you. Even with a gun pointed at your back, it might not even be loaded. You should hand the gun to authorities, it can be traced back to the store it was bought back and traced to the buyer. But! BUT! I would be careful the police might arrest you by accident, I would drop the gun when you are at a safe distance to run away or if the thug runs away, Just to be safe, unload the clip.
