It's so satisfying to watch Collins plays, but when Iga is in control she's unbeatable, great match!
Very satisfying result for Iga, but the match itself was so-so. A lot of UEs from Danielle because she was pulling the trigger too fast and too often. Iga was much more patient. After 7th game she crushed Collins' spirit and match was basically over.

the game at 3-all in the first set truly changed the final score. Iga soared and Collins gradually faded. Although Collins made some great shots in the second set, Iga was a step ahead in every big point. Iga's mental toughness is wonderful to see. Noskova next round is another test she must pass in order to prove herself to herself. can't wait!
Noskova could be a real problem for Iga. I hope Iga wins that easily and stops that problem.

Absolutely a top-notch performance which was demonstrated by my favorite female tennis competitor. It is never easy to compete against American tennis competitors on home soil. However, the expertise and competency of Iga Swiatek have detected throughout the entire showdown. Besides, Collins was really aggressive and furious with her outer appearance and countenance in this clash, not plainly making a sense to her this aggressiveness. It confounds the mentality of the supporters and fans.
I love the way Swiatek gently touches the defeated player's shoulder when shaking hands.
So they tried to repeat the AO draw where Iga fought a fierce battle with Collins and the next was Nozkova who had a run in AO, I'm sure with this scoreline, Nozkova won't stand a chance this time.
AO replay this year, first Collins then Noskova. Watched this game and it felt odd. Super erratic and random. All in All Glad Iga is through without unnecessary drama. Hoping for a different showtime with Noskova. Noskova’s style should encourage Iga to play her better/best tennis, JAZDA ! 🎾 🎾🎾🎾✨✨✨✨

I agree with Pawez - Iga played ok tennis, but Collins was godawful throughout, hitting a ton of errors and double faults - she just had an off day, so not a lot of dramatic winners/points to show.

The highlights only show the winning points of Collins. This is another hypocrisy from whoever made the highlights (WTA).
Collins is an American and the tourney is in the US. They always do that. Just look at Coco's or Pegula's matches.
@@kacperm6555 Yeah there is nothing WTA about this sport authority, its run by Americans. they are more like the ATA American Tennis Association. The Tennis Channel commentators two American women were all about Danielle should do this Danielle should try that. seldom mentioning Iga's control of the match.
I think part of it is bias towards the US player, but in this match, Iga didn't have to hit a ton of winners. Not a criticism of Iga, more about Collins playing terrible (errors all over the place and serving issues too). There weren't a ton of long rallies and dramatic points in this match. Collins was just off throughout.

Not true. The also show some of her bad mistakes, inluding a double fault. All in all the highlights show 12 poits won by Świątek and 9 points won by Collins.

Happy for Iga! I hope she can really improve on the intensity/speed of her serve. It’s kinda weak and can easily be broken and giving easy points and tactics to some power hitter opponents. Even the one who defeated her in Dubai may do the same in Indian Wells.

I don't know if Iga's new serve mechanics are better suited but she's coming off the court higher than before. I assume it's a work in progress.
Just like Sinner (and the same score): they started slower, and then they waved their hand to their opponents and went directly to the next match. That's what the champs do
I have never seen Collins smiling. Watching her without context, she looks like an annoyed mother who is headed to the kids' bedroom to beat them up.
She smiled walking onto the court. Her photo on the scoreboard, she is smiling. Do you see Iga smiling during a match?

She gives off a purely negative vibe, the constant scowling, the always-angry attitude, fans just don't care for it. I almost would prefer two hours of Sabalenka's screaming and grunting rather than being forced to watch Collins scowl her way though a match.

I really used to enjoy wattching Iga's play in the past. Nowadays Iga's results are often better than her play :( But she is still consistency more than others and I like that.
This means that Iga's performance is still at the same level and there is no improvement. Players with strong shots and fast serves often give Iga problems. Even players who seemed like nobody managed to beat her, like Linda Noskova and Anna Kalinskaya

white coloured racquet dont fits collins, because her shot preparation is too obvious for the opponent which direction she is gonna hit it than. she needs darker racquet which hides that

She had a chance to break Iga at 3:3 and 15:40 but after that Iga controled everything to the end. Collins had a lot of errors too and played like she didn't want to be there in 2nd set.

I've always said it and I will say it now, Danielle Collins' big problem is her terrible temperament, which leads her to make many mistakes and, worst of all, she loses control of her game. Her great aggressiveness from her excellent game does not match his bad temperament; So what she has to do is work on that big problem. IMHO!
