Iga is one of the most likeable players I’ve ever seen. Her personality is so relatable, she doesn’t come off as some boss who’s running things but like an ordinary, sometimes awkward person who happens to work amazingly hard and be incredibly good at tennis. To me this is much more relatable for the average person than someone who is always “on”
First of all, Iga was raised to be an athlete. Her father took part in the Olympics, instilling in her not only the love of sport, but also the entire athletic mindset - respect for the opponent, the ability to lose with dignity, the willingness to make sacrifices and train hard. Iga is also an extraordinary inteligent person and has the ease of learning new things. Paradoxically, now is the time when experienced tennis players learn tactics from Iga.
Lose with dignity? She had cold hand shakes after losing. Sore loser-quite opposite of Djokovic. Also, looks very rude in the court. Rarely smiles. Doesn’t appreciate opponents great shots. Argue unnecessarily with umpires on the points don’t go her way. Distracts opponents with the unnecessary ball tosses when behind and at the critical points. Try to play mind game.
It's also good to mention when it comes to her marketability, that she and her team choose sponsorships that they feel present similar values, she rejects some sponsorships.
I dont think so, her deal with uniqlo was made only because someone declined the offer and re-signed with NB. If she was as u say she wouldnt have left Asics who's known to support player all the way.

Iga is great and humble! Great attitude and person. I mostly watch men's tennis, but like to watch her. She is so consistent and mentally strong, gets every ball. More points are lost than won in tennis, although she hits the ball hard also. Consistency is the key. She reminds me of Rafa, whose game I know she thinks very highly of. Let's see how many French Opens she can win, 4 at 23 years old, while improving on the other surfaces as well.
Her forehand, for a wta player i must say, is unorthodox. She has atp take back, with her racquet not passing her back. But she also doesn't whip it with a straighter arm, like atp players (or sakkari). This ensures she has her hip connected to her forehand shot.

Excellent video. I have been a fan of Iga since I saw her destroy Keys at the 2022 Indian Wells tournament. I loved how aggressive she was. It made me take notice of her game. Now I am a huge fan of hers. She is a special player. When I first started following her, I thought her serve could be better, but I definitely think she is making strides to improving it. She has added more MPH, her body serve is very good, and her second serve is very solid. I agree that Rybakina is her toughest opponent. She has a big serve and big forehand, and if she is on, she doesn't give Iga much time to play her game. Iga just won her 4th French Open last week and is 45-4 for the season and has 5 titles so far. Very impressive. Wimbledon should be interesting for her. I think she has a real shot to win it. Iga is a classy player who works her butt off to constantly get better. Good video mate. I do think that you should add more stats around her "not winning" on other surfaces. She is actually far more consistent and dominant on other surfaces than anyone in the last 20 years. The game is not just slams of which she has 5 now. She won ridiculous number of masters and had winning streaks the likes of Barty or Sabalenka could only dream of. Only healthy consistent Rybakina can match Iga. Also, Rybakina and Sabalenka being different half of the draw would make Iga’s chances less. Beating both Sabalenka and Rybakina would be difficult for her.

I admire Iga for her tenacity. She this the female Rafa. My concern is that I’m not sure if she can ever win Wimbledon. Her game doesn’t translate well to grass.
Iga Świątek has already been immortalized forever at the age of only 22-23 and she's cute af, which possibly makes her super aggressive style even more frost
Iga Swiatek is Rafa's successor. Her baseline game is deadly, along with her mental toughness. Her comeback against Osaka at Roland Garros just a few days ago proved that. The way she can handle the pure power of Sabalenka is something very few can achieve. Her tenacity covering the baseline is Rafa-esqe. She literally never goes away and can find those margins to hit a shot down the line on the run. The best part? She is only 22. She has a lot more titles to win, and at her current pace, she might reach the 20+ Slam mark. Assuming she doesn't get injured of course.
Strange comment, Rafa is left handed and has a buggy whip forehand with a semi western grip, Iga is right handed with a full western grip and Nadal managed to win tournaments on grass, something that Iga has not been able to do. Crazy to even think to compare them.
@@CH-yp5byI agree their techniques are different, but playstyle wise, they are similar. Nadal never really got a hold of grass until he was in his mid-20s. 15:15 polish f word has been said 😄I love the slow motion close-ups of her face where you can see her swearing when she's frustrated
iga is alone on top. i believe if Ashley did not retire at early age and if Osaka did not stop for couple of years when she had won 4 grand slams at very young age, we would have seen an amazing rivalry
Iga needs four more good seasons (or 2-3 amazing ones) to be a top 10 WTA ATG...and she just turned 23 today...time is on her side
Great video!!!
Glad you liked it!
If she stays hungry and healthy her final numbers could be very impressive, in an extremely competitive era
She will dominate like no one for a long while!
One of the greats
hopefully!
I don't think Aryna meant she was the best on hard courts but more likely that hard courts are HER best surface. Iga fan here though.
"Can she be stopped?"
Should she be stopped?
I like her awkward personality, it's very genuine
scuze me but why would anyone like someone like Iga to be stopped ? She is a true role model for youth, women, children - embodying grace, class, grit and composure against all odds. I wish she was unstoppable.
🏆🥎👑
Purpose is like deep water in the human heart,
of course, she is very talented for tennis and physically amazing but what makes her the best is that she is very smart- tennis-smart, intelligent. I bet her IQ is hight!!!!
These ATP strikes are so sad! Hope you can solve that, the weekly review videos are amazing and give a way better insight than just the newsletter
I hope so too!
Its so incredible that she is on the absolute top yet keeps improving every year, at this moment she is so good that anytime anyone beats her its a sensation.
and on clay courts like rolland garros she is absolutely unmatched
Apparently her weakness is playing back to back days with little recovery
Wilander predicts if Iga avoids injuries she will stay on top to 2029. If so, she will beat Steffi's record.
❤ F O R I G A !!!
1GA, N1 indiscutida.. 😀👍❤️❤️❤️😘
The way she won French Open, no one will stop her. She'll win Wimbledon this year.
Iga-Elena-Aryna : basically Rock-Paper-Scissors.
Iga scissors, Aryna rock solid, and Elena paper because she is the most fragile with her many injuries.
@7:49 to @7:52 your point was a bit confusing since you didn't add combined at the end of the statement for a split second I thought the latter 3 you listed all had 4 grandslams each.
Yes, I went back and listen again that section.
Iga owns RG, just as Rafa ha done...
It's time you learn how to pronounce Świątek 🥲
Shvontek
@@michaelmazowiecki9195 Brzmi jak jakiś wyraz hebrajski
Nasza dziewczyna, brawo !
You keep highlighting Clay and Grand Slams for Iga. I am pretty sure she has won the most wta1000 hard court events of active players, grass has been her cryptonite as a senior player. She did win it in juniors.
Yes she can be stopped it will happen when other player will go to their best. But now its seems she is unstoppable :)
And she is so kind and funny!😊
Only Naomi Ōsaka’s 4 GSs matches Iga’s.
Should Naomi succeed in upping her clay court game, then maybe she’ll smack Aryna, Coco and Rybakina out of contention for #2.
It's time we talk about her? Her career has been going on for years and she has won 21 titles...but I value her also for not yelling ridiculously as if she's giving birth during the game.
WHY SHE SHOULD BE STOPPED?.. She is excellent among others,we like to watch her,so,let her play❤❤💪💪Iga
Ś is pronounced closer to English SH, rather than S.
More like "shi"
Guess who just won a 4th Roland Garros crown.🎉
Great video! I'd probably question her ability to read the game, it's not the best yet. Apart from that Iga might be having the best season to date, and she's only 23
