Last year I started skipping potting up and planted single seeds into 3" pots. It worked great and I had near 100% germination. This year I put 2 seeds into each pot at either end and i'm hoping this will still get them large enough to plant out in time. We'll see.

Yeah there is something to be said for the vigor of uninterrupted growth in a large pot!
