My problem with this is just that you can ‘kindly’ kill people same with the other souls which kinda means they could have been a murder. like some villains in films and movies say that.
Genocide runs are, in essence, despite how they feel to play, are meant to be unsatisfying for the player. It couldn't be made more clear through how most of it is just a walking simulator, and your reward is (usually) a boss that dies instantly for each area. So having an endboss that just rips away all that power you have and ruins your mission just makes all the sense.
Tbh it would just give more of a reason for a genocide battle to happen rather unsatisfying us importantly the no hit players imagine a player just decided to do a no hit on this battle bro wouldn’t stop yapping about that
But it can't be canon because nobody can remember you're genocides in undertale even flowey because the reset you do at the end of a genocide run is basically a true reset and also you have more determination than anyone in the game you can reload anytime you want so the "endboss" only satisfies you more as it is a good ending except for a megalomaniac like me

Frisk *certainly* didn't persevere when it comes to living through and facing consequences That tracks back to bravery and how Frisk never faces them, that and how they didn't display Justice, which then tracks over to patience and integrity and how Frisk didn't show any of those traits.

I really like how each character’s actions make sense. Sans still being slightly jokey but making sure you will have a bad time. Asgore staying serious and saving his son from an attack. Flowey, I feel is slightly wrong when he actually shows compassion but his other moments more than make up for it. The souls basically saying you don’t deserve your powers and how you wronged monster kind. And Chara was spot on with instead of helping you, actually mentioning his rarely seen dialogue. It’s amazing how well you did the characters
I think that theoretically Flowey is right, since in the Genocide route he shows fear and sadness which is a feeling, so I think that in a Genocide route where his father saves him from death, he would show compassion
I love the detail of Frisk briefly changing into Neutral Clover's during the flashes of tutorial Flowey. Really cool callback to UTY's Neutral final boss
If there’s one thing that I REALLY like about this animation it’s the fact that sans takes out the FIGHT button (with him having arguably the hardest FIGHT) Asgore takes out your Mercy button because you don’t deserve any mercy and he’s not willing to give any and flowey takes out your items which I thought at first don’t make sense but he has the only battles that heal you mid fight, and he knows that the only way you can heal in this fight is through the souls which is on his side not ours. And last but not least the ACT button, which frisk puts away somewhere just waiting to be used until they need it but little did they know that the button would have no effect on any of them. Idk I found this super interesting

This really feels like a celebration of what Undertale and its community mean with all the references to different fangames and AUs. I especially loved Sans' turn (Dusttale, Time Paradox, Tears in the Rain, etc). You did a great job, keep up the good work!

The sad fact is that since technically the idea of undertale being a game is canon (kinda I dunno I could be wrong) means that the player could just erase the data manually on their computer and take away their happy ending. There’s truly no way for them to live peacefully.
I think it is canon that it is a game, but not exactly like ours. If you remember Flowey's speech, he yapped about doing routes and treating Undertale like a game. But not literally like a video game on a gaming platform. Blatantly, it acknowledges the player as a force treating it as a game, in canon. Undertale is meant as a meta commentary, after all. So erasing data manually wouldn't be canon, as it would just be rewriting the video game itself, and everything literally never really happened. Never a happy ending. Idk I could be wrong about this stuff this is just off the top of my head lmao-
My personal interpretation its undertale its a window, you use this window to intercat with the world but the world exist after that, making sense in flowey and sans proposit, because want the player give up and obtain the the time line control (only flowey in this part). And give up its delete the window conect frisk with the player
I love the little flashes to Clover during Omega Flowey’s part. Seems like he’s learned from his mistakes, not letting another human overwrite his control. Also how in the beginning it’s Justice specifically fighting beside Flowey.

TL;DR Clover did not fail their mission, but decided to change it.

Well, that means they're "okay" with them taking fallen humans SOULs to get what they want. But, it's not "okay" when Clover "took away" their SOULs for bringing Justice towards 5 fallen humans. He's trying to bring True Justice for what monsterkind did to those 5 fallen humans. And, even if he DID decided to change his mind to bring Justice towards monsterkind instead, remember. The sad fact is that since technically the idea of undertale being a game is canon (kinda I dunno I could be wrong) means that the player could just erase the data manually on their computer and take away their happy ending. There’s truly no way for them to live peacefully.

I think it is canon that it is a game, but not exactly like ours. If you remember Flowey's speech, he yapped about doing routes and treating Undertale like a game. But not literally like a video game on a gaming platform. Blatantly, it acknowledges the player as a force treating it as a game, in canon. Undertale is meant as a meta commentary, after all. So erasing data manually wouldn't be canon, as it would just be rewriting the video game itself, and everything literally never really happened. Never a happy ending.

thanks!!! and exactly, after flowey destroyed your save, you cannot reset after you die, meaning your dead permanently. I know a lot of fangames have this be the ending nowadays (player dies at the end) without reasoning, this animation had a reason.

TL;DR Clover did not fail their mission, but decided to change it.

Well, that means they're "okay" with them taking fallen humans SOULs to get what they want. But, it's not "okay" when Clover "took away" their SOULs for bringing Justice towards 5 fallen humans. Got it.
And also, it's sucks for Clover to change his mission because in the end, all the 5 fallen humans that he wants to find were all dead. He's trying to bring True Justice for what monsterkind did to those 5 fallen humans. And, even if he DID decided to change his mind to bring Justice towards monsterkind instead, remember. He literally barely makes it out alive for almost every single route in UTY except Genocide Route (which I called it as True Justice Route for UTY).
I really appreciate the effort you put in to make this happen. This fandom has been really Joyful and important. I really like this Animation, the time you took in to make this!! Proud of you ;3
