I love how it's fitting on multiple different levels
It shows the souls are cooperating with him (which must be rather difficult to fight alongside your own murderer but it shows how desperate this scenario is)
It also represents a connection with asriel, who loves over the top rainbow superpowers

No it didn’t, the crits stayed at about 2000019. There was a lower attack right after he used LOVE, but it was just because it didn't crit.

@@PhotonDragon16 Yes, according to Undyne, Alphys watched her die against the protagonist and was about to call him and tell him to absorb the souls. For some reason, he never received that message and I severely doubt that he would deny the severity of the situation. He wanted to gather the souls to give his people hope, but how can you give hope to them if they are dead? There's definitely some - unfortunately - unexplained reason behind his behaviour.
There’s a theory once alphys saw undyne die she commits suicide before she can evacuate anyone or tell asgore.

That’s funny but I think Undertale actually takes place in either Denmark or Scotland, because both environments match up pretty well, and plus Chara is a Scottish/Eastern European name as well.
Honestly this wouldve been a kickin ass secret boss fight. Where you had to do a certain number of things to trigger Asgore actually absorbing the 6 souls and causing flowey to side with him.
What this should be, is the HARD MODE thats fully completed, and you do a Hard Mode of Genocide Run, which would allow you for more options, like Fight Grillby, Temmie from the shop and Gerson, that turtle shop keeper, while also looking for Alphys and even facing off against Amalgamates and when you kill legit EVERYBODY that is remotely possible, would make surpassing level 20 possible to Level 25.
This will trigger this special battle after beating Sans, where he himself is actually determined to stop you, persisting little bit after death still fighting you.
When he is taken care off, you have THIS battle. And after it, against Gaster. A penultimate battle against time and space itself pretty much.

A monster with just one human SOUL could demolish an army in a few minutes. Combine that with no mental resistance from the SOULs, Asgore's status as a boss monster, and all six within him, he's essentially a god.

Asgore (on the genocide route) takes almost 10 billion damage and yet here frisk/Chara is doing 22 million that's almost 1000x more powerful than the unitale version

He has an attack that looks like "Pristine danmaku hell" spell card but with less density and RNG
I like how Asgore has a similar trick that Sans has, where you don't get Invincibility frames and he attacks you while you're in the menu. It's like right before you came in to battle him, Sans quickly gave Asgore the basics on how to do it to at least give him a chance.
there still has, its just significantly shorter than normal. i guess the creator meant to be no invincibility as well, but coding problems, adding slight delay unintentionally.
@@cmdpro4187Asgore was always able to dodge. Undyne even says she could never land a hit on him when training. He simply chose not to dodge when he fights you, probably because his heart wasn't in it.
I love how Frisk's attack makes the screen light up white. Because the implication is that yeah, this IS that slash that Chara uses to *literally destroy the universe* at the end of regular genocide. It's just that Asgore + 6 human souls is so powerful that Frisk can literally split spacetime and he's barely scratched. He is holding reality itself together by his mere presence.

@@theelectricdiamondkid2921 It's very subjective who is really the hardest since you could say it's actually Undying seeing how her moves are WAY less easy to master and predict. I know this from experience, I couldn't beat Undying but I beat Sans in my FIRST ATTEMPT with barely any training.

The reason the actual hard boss fights were so hard in genocide run is because in the neutral and pacifist runs, the bosses wanted to FIGHT, meaning they were willing to be fair, in the genocide run they’re trying to kill you, so they’re gonna make it as hard as possible for you to survive

If I fight like this were to happen, I'd like to imagine that Asgore calls out for help to each of the 6 human souls whenever you land a hit, altering his bullet patterns or launching a special attack based on the soul he calls.
Then for the final turn, they'd all attack together in a combo string, before an ultimate attack where the souls spin around you like in the Omega Flowey fight.
This is just DDD Asgore but in beta build
Somehow, you survive. Then you directly attack the souls, weaken Asgore and kill him.
In certain versions and original they talk about the strength and power of Asgore but in the original he seems a little less like that maybe because he truly doesn’t want to fight but this one seems like his true strength
Plus 6 human souls.
There's also all the help he recieves. Souls, Flowey, possibly even Gaster.

I think it’s becuase normally between every turn there is dialogue but whoever made this didn’t code in any, so the game expects to load text, and when the text is done it goes away, so the text bubble goes away near instantly because there is no text.

@@archmagus9000 it’s hard to explain because of 2 things. The developers didn’t actually code that into the game, and because LV doesn’t necessarily effect your damage, it’s mostly the weapon. This is just a theory so feel free to disagree.

- Collect Item pieces first UNLESS You know You can pull of a no hit and get the fight button instead,
- If you have done item, do fight next.
- You should probably focus on fighting as genociders don’t show mercy,

Somewhat, I feel like in the neutral route, he overly restrained because of the suffering brought by his actions, past, present and future. I feel as if the abilities he has in the unitale fangame would look a lot more like him without restraint, not even needing the human souls, he would vaguely look like this if he was giving it his all.
An asgore supported by six souls, determination aside, would have an overwhelming power for any being on earth, because if Determination was the only kind of soul able to get the 6 souls on their side, and Flowey was looking that powerful back then, a being as powerful as asgore with a will to act as strong as putting his all, including his life,"friends" and memories into it, then he would truly be invincible for as long as his will would burn without letting out ashes.

man this is ancient! i remember watching this when it first came out, and my old opinion lost in the comments still stands; i think the only reason toby didn’t do a fight like this was he didn’t want a hard fight after sans, which i think is kind of dumb. it would’ve been so damn cool to have an actual NEO boss fight and an actual asgore fight in genocide, to make it all the more punishing. in genocide you get no puzzles and 2 new bossfights.
but the point of genocide isn’t to have fun but to punish you

Couldn't agree more, I don't take joy in killing innocent monsters I just think that Undone and sans are really fun fights. I would love to have a stupid difficult version of each boss monster in a genocide route.
@@TheScribbler47Excpet they have difficult boss fights for a meta narrative perspective, they game realizes that you are so determined it will throw its most difficult fights at you to dissuade you from continuing. You won't be satisfied with the ending because the games actively punishes you for doing things "because you can". You ultimately disregard everything the game has to offer so it just becomes a game about increasing number values. Chara is ultimately your desire to just get through the game and move on to another one.
@@CatholicismAppreciator so if it's to dissuade the player from continuing, why not let them waste their good food items on NEO before sans? it would make it more difficult, thereby making it more likely for a player to quit. pair that with an actual genocide asgore fight-who is the ruler of the underground-as the final roadblock before ending the game, and it is bound to make players quit.
at the end of the day, it's a video game
where you have fun by playing it.
