The Search For The City Of Gold
Вставка

- The two flinty syllables strike at the imagination like the sudden hard beat of an Andean drum. Cities of gold; sun worship; virgin sacrifice. The stuff of legend. Legends that for the most part remain hidden in the impenetrable no-man’s land of Peru’s high country. For the better part of 400 years people have searched the deep canyons & towering ice peaks of these mist-covered cloud forests trying to locate the lost cities of the Inca. They were all after one thing; gold. Any gold would do but there was one thing desired above all others, the Great Golden Disc of the Sun. The most sacred of all Inca relics. The Inca Holy Grail. It is in search of this Holy Grail that David Adams goes on his journey to Puncuyoc, sacred Sister City of Machu Picchu; the city sought but never found by Hiram Bingham.

@@ramdomlee5436 not sure the song but I think the band is Inti Illimani

European evaded and looted a lots throughout the world.
Anyway now need to find such ancient culture, civilizations, and scripture. There a thousands time more knowledge then today, we can learn those.
Biggest problem with today science is, it doesn't belief if it unable to prove it.
Live on.❤ Greetings from Europe!
I JUST LOVE HIS SHOWS!!! so educational and inspiring !!! they should put these videos in libraries so children can learn and see how the other countries live

Do we know his name ? Fantastic presenter

You are 21st Century's Indiana Jones, truly!
You educated me on a culture that I will never be able to see. Real people. Honest realities!
Intellectually I know many cultures exist, but this episode caused me to connect with this culture emotionally
This guy's a hoss!! White water kayaking one day and moutain climbing to the altitude of "The Roof of the Andes" the next!!! Smart AND strong! What a man!!
I spent six years at high-school with Dave Adams, he had real integrity then (many didn't). Still does.
It shows in his various works - refreshing - and worthy Productions.
Still culturally ignorant though. I’ve seen him commit many of the simplest faux pas in various countries.
You gotta be kidding? He is outrageousely culturally ignorant. He's an ignorant whack
@@ronnynoneofyourbusinessgoo7892 You have succeeded only in showing Yourself to be ignorant, he would not come at You in such a way. Poor form mate!
Six years?
You are some explorer ! Love all your videos!!
The David Amdam shows are simply the best. The best man ever to deliver it all to us in a perfect package.
Thought it was boring
David Adams has my fantasy life.
So many *amazing* adventures. I have no words.
Thanks for the videos.
@Chad Landry mmmm
FU punk
Thank you for sharing this video on Peru.
Please keep these video's coming, David Adams is a really great presenter, and very knowledgable, much appreciated.
I love how he asks the interpreter if the people in the mountains still consider themselves Incas, and the interpreter is proud to be a Quechua and look like one himself without misinterpreting the gringo’s questions or getting offended. ❤️
Well noted
likely the inca enslaved the quechua. .. the quechua fought united to the spanish to gain freedom. ten or twelve spaniards Could Not knock down the ruling inca by themselves.
@@jorgegonzalez-larramendi5491 After the Spanish brought diseases the Inca king died and not an heir, after the death of the Inca king, 2 brothers fought for the throne and coincides with the arrival of the Spanish, the empire was in death chaos either by diseases brought by the Spaniards and by the civil war that was waged, and Atahualpa won that war but could not enjoy his victory because of the arrival of the Spaniards and they cowardly took him prisoner and the Spaniards dismembered millions of people who accompanied Atahualpa and the Spaniards allied themselves with other people who were against Atahualpa and did not want him to be the King if not his brother Huascar ... and thus an entire empire collapses, and victory for the Spaniards who took advantage of that chaos.
A Latino calling a white man a gringo is just as bad as a white person saying n$&$a
@@blakemoore7403 you prove my point that some people get offended real easy…
What’s a risky trip.. the truck and the kayak
You have done it all
I love ❤️ this documentary and the history of the Incas is incredible
Stay safe
Another fantastic effort David,I look look forward to any of your docos as I keep saying,,,,,,GO AUSSIE GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful People, incredible lanscapes.
Good ol' truck.
Adventure!!
Great vid and always nice to see new areas of exploration. Inca , Maya and Mexica aren't gone like most people think. We are still here.
I’ve watched quite a few of these already, and I love how simple and peaceful all these people live, I hate how crazy the part of the world I live in, I wish everything was a lot more like they live, or I could of moved years and years ago!
so good, wish there was someone doing docs like him these days
Very well done, always very interesting!!🙋♀️🙅♀️🙆♀️
much respect to your commitment to your profession mr adams. to make your videos as authentic and informative as possible. and makes your videos par excellence in its category in the world. i do suggest that you wear at least a life jacket when you go whiewater kayaking again. that was more bravery than exercise when you did it. kudos to you sir!
Thank you again for your nice film. As if I'm with you and these beautiful Incas. And this old truck, especially on the bridge over river - excellent episode. Good luck to you!!!!
The sacred waters of Vilcabamba and the Incas will give you 100 years of life. Thanks for the beautiful show.
Great show! Mr Adams is a master at his craft.
Enjoyed so much! Thankyou.
That old truck was in rough shape but it is still worth a nice chunk of change. People search far and wide for trucks that old and pay good money for them
Noda Kanagata (15:51) is what is written on the side, if I'm not mistaken. I guess they would have been the original owners. Noda Manufacturing ?? is still is Osaka, in Japan.
Truck might be worth 3k tops.
Another incredible journey in search of the last strongholds of the Inca; thank you David Adams.
These are truly college level and stupendous learning opportunities. Thank you.
Inka means more than People of Sun, it’s a medicine man, a prophet, leader, more than can you imagine. We still live in the people’s soul and Hearts. Btw, there are many things that I agreed & disagreed with this documentary. However, I love the journey and love the views of my ancestors land. Thanks David Adams 👌
Respectfully,
Inka Yupanqui
Thanks for these films. I love the scenery, history and culture. Places I may never get to see in person but can appreciate via these fine videos.

I love the Documentaries made by David Adams they are the best.
Magie Totale, ce documentaire !
Documentaries like this should have millions of views. Sadly, it was uploaded during a time when the Internet isn't as accessible as it is today.
After experience nature u can fully understand the power of it and how sacred it is , thats why ancient peruvians respected this places and forces and also whoshipped them.
Love Love Love Love Love Love Love these travels. THANK YOU, DAVID. KEEP UP THE GRREEAT WORK.. it is important
These documentaries are the best, can't believe I didn't find them earlier.
Excellent !!! Thanks and Thanks again.
"Tupac" is an Incan name, 2Pac's mom named him after the "Túpac Amaru" Incan ruler.
kin kane have you seen Black in Latin America by Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr (PBS)? Episode regarding Peru...
@@resilience4lyfe331 I have not. I looked it up just now, seems interesting. I'll look into this as part of my pre-colubian contact research, Olmecs for instance may have been African
kin kane I believe they were. As well as many “Native “ American tribes. If you are doing research on that subject you may find the entire series edifying. 🥰✨🙏
You guys know Africa is on the other side of the world from South America, right? Just saying...
It can be exciting to entertain wild speculation, but within the realm of possibilities, it doesn't serve any good to ignore the obvious.
@@resilience4lyfe331 The ancient peruvian civilization has been well documented. They were indigenous.
Wonderful music and commentary. I just discovered this adventure man Dave Adams. Wonderful.
I think I have seen all your doc's. Look forward to ones I might not have seen yet❤️🌍Ty David
The amazing thing is that as of today, anybody who goes to Peru goes in fact to see the legacy of the Incas.
The Incas were a late-stage of the development in that area. Their legacy is inherited from about 10 other civilisations.
the Previous civilization was the real architect and engineer. the amazing megaliths. the inca likely came centuries later - with inferior skills.
@jorgegonzalez-larramendi5491 what all previous civilizations were there? Could you please name a few prominent ones ?

gorgeous, and that kayak/canoe over the white water, was spectacular,
He's good, but I think he was pushing his luck a bit there. He's not a little spry guy, you know.
the look on David's face is "priceless" when he found he just swallowed some women's spit ...LOL 14:15
This is way they do the chicha:
The corn is soaked for several days until it begins to germinate and is going to be placed in a clay pot at room temperature.

anyone interested in some of the other civilisations in the area should look up the "lost civilisations of south america" series with Jago Cooper.
He's a little over the top sometimes, but the cinematography is stellar and some far less commonly covered places in that series.
Muchas Gracias por la informacion 👍
