Becky! I watched your video on creating the scan n cut files…and I took notes! I am so excited to now feel comfortable with this process. Thank you so much. I was able to do blocks C and D Applique pieces on the SNC!! Yay. Wow, I feel so accomplished. Love this tutorial. Just purchased the pattern. When you create the FCM are you using the placement stitch? Also, do you add a seam allowance to help out in placement? Thank you so much!
Did you use SF 101 on both pocket and lining fabric?

I used 4x4 squares and folded them in half diagonally.

This tutorial is amazing! Convinced me to purchase the pattern and get started! I also need the trimmer tool! One question, did you “steam” or shrink the SF101 prior to adhering to your fabric to prevent shrinkage? When I steam after embroidery I have an issue with it puckering. Thanks for any advice!
I suspect that the shrinking came from your stabilizer. SF101 does not shrink. I have a link to the stabilizer I used in my Amazon store which is linked below the video.
Sorry if you've already answered this Becky, but do you starch your fabric? Did you apply Pellon SF101 on the back of the pockets??
What fusible fleece did you use on the pocket? Will sf101 do?

Does the design include the numbers? I think I read it’s an additional file to buy for the numbers?

Question… have you seen any advantage to using the flat table insert for the multi- needle ? Wondering if it helps to keep the hoop from bouncing?

I didn't have the table insert but was using the 8x12 monster hoop. That thing was dipping down in the front and I was told I needed some sort of extension to go under the hoop. I got the insert and that thing is wonderful! It's solid, easy to install and no more dipping, shaking and I love the extra space it provides. I can slide the hoop out, trim and then reinsert it without having to go to another flat surface to trim. Well worth it to me.
I have that Quilting table and I do use it when I’m doing into and Quilting from designs by juju. It helps to support the weight of the quilt to prevent drag on the hoop.
No link for the press and cut board?
Becky, you mention and show cutting applique pieces on SNC. Will you address that or point me to where to find those applique pieces in the design file? Sorry, but I'm old and such a visual learner. Thanks so much.
I made those pieces using Embrilliance to create the SVG file from the placement line. I put a link to a video right above that spot to show how it’s done. If you click the link, it will take you to the video to show you.

I think I missed something here .... Did you stabilize the background fabrics with sf101 before adding ? What is the stabilizer used in the hoop to start ?
Yes, stabilize the background fabrics with SF101. No need to use it on the applique pieces. Hooped stabilizer is no-show mesh cutaway.

What fusible did you use at the very beginning of making the pockets.
Pellon's SF101 as recommended in the pattern. It prevents puckering with dense fill stitches.
What font did you use for the Merry Christmas since the pattern indicated that wasn't included?
The font is part of the embroidery design. You do not need a separate font.
Do you have any kind of stabilizer on the back of your fabric?

Which is more difficult project from JuJu? Tree skirt or Advent wreath?
I would think the tree skirt is slightly harder due to triangle shapes and curved edges
I think the tree skirt is more challenging than the advent calendar. But that is just because of the finishing.

Did you iron the pockets to attach to the fusible fleece? You did not show that step!
Can you share information for the star background fabric?
That is an out of print fabric from Riley Blake called Snowed In.
How do you sort the steps in embrilliance so that it will stitch east step at the same time?
That is called color sorting and it is found under the utility menu in Embrilliance. However, I do not recommend doing that because many pieces need to layer in the order that the Digitizer set to stitch.
@@PowerToolsWithThread right, I get that. But, can we sort so it will stitch step one for both at the same time then 2 at the same time then 3 etc
Did you use the fabric kit?
Yes. The pocket background may be slightly different but is still pretty.
This may sound dumb, but I have a question about your tape. Is that just a gift wrap tape or is that a fabric tape of some sort?
It is a paper tape that works perfectly for embroidery because it does not leave a residue. I have it listed in my Amazon store.

You don’t need any program. You can download the design to your computer and take it over to your embroidery machine by USB.

Yes, it can be done on any embroidery machine that has at least a 5 x 7 hoop.
You need to retitle your video to include for “people who never embroider.” You speak like us moderate embroiders have we have no common sense.
