Not that I’ll be realistically buying anything before retirement in less than 5 years, but through my UA-cam channel research I’ve decided that I would never buy a Covid era camper of any type from any manufacturer. Good video.
The owner of the service center I worked at for a while had a Newmar Baystar Sport and he sold that and bought a Tiffin Allegro Open Road RED. Needless to say, he's seen a lot of problems in 40 years and these are the coaches he chose. Good list Duane.
Thanks Jerry. It's hard to go wrong with Newmar and Tiffin in the Class A category. Thanks for sharing your friend's experience with those brands here!
Glad to see Fleetwood on your list. I'm on my second motorhome from Fleetwood, like you said quality for the price point that's what has sold me on their products. Loving the memories that we are making in ours. Once again thank you for a wonderful video, I pass them on to a friend of mine that is in the market.
Hi Marty. I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Yes, I think Fleetwood keeps getting better every year and they are a good buy for someone who wants a Class A these days. Have safe and happy travels and thanks for sharing my videos too!
Sage advice, Duane. However, since their respective acquisitions, I believe the quality and customer service for both Newmar and Tiffin are starting to slide. I say this based on a number of videos on UA-cam. Also, one has to do the maintenance on the RV in order to get the optimum resale value. A great name paired to a roof that hasn't been maintained won't get you much.
Hi Robert. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation being spread around in the RV segment, especially on social media. The truth is that Covid affected EVERY manufacturer out there, including Newmar and Tiffin. But nobody seems to be willing to give RV builders any slack for the issues they faced that were unprecedented in RVing history. And a lot of people don't even mention Covid anymore. It's like it never happened. But the truth is that it did happen. And it decimated the workforce of almost every RV builder there is. It also threw the RV supply chain into a mess that is only starting to recover. So ALL RV manufacturers have had problems in the past 5 years. But because Newmar and Tiffin have such great reputations that are well deserved over the years, there is a lot of negative minded people who thrive on drama and conspiracy theories that accuse them of no longer being a quality brand. But it's simply not true. And the next few years should bear that out.
@@robertroth287 I was referring to post-Covid quality too Robert. It must be remembered that we are only two years removed from the last of Covid's effects. And those effects are still being felt by almost every RV brand in existence, but less and less as time goes on. However, that simple truth doesn't get many viewers, so you won't hear it being discussed by most YT influencers. It's much easier to say instead that brands that have spent years building a great reputation are no longer what they were. But I don't agree with that assessment.

Dwayne, You are one of the most listenable content creators on UA-cam.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback Kathy. It helps to hear things like that. Have safe and happy travels!

We only hope that Tiffin can maintain its history of quality motorhomes under Thor ownership.

@@RVInspectionAndCare I regret that I wasn't clearer in my statement. I was referring to post-Covid quality. Your perspective is most appreciated.

Hello. How would I go about getting in touch with you to ask a question about RV plumbing?
