    Thanks for doing a video on this. Type one for 54 years and I hike so I understand what you are talking about and the precautions you take. In the winter time I put my meter in my pocket with a hand warmer to keep it out of the 14° weather. So far it’s worked great but only lasts 8 hours.

    Thank you. Eating right can be a bit interesting when living with diabetes. The traditional camping food is so filled with carbs and sugars; who doesn't love smores? Lucky for us, we are not insulin dependent and just have to be a little careful. Nuts, home made jerky, dried fruit, meats and cheeses.

      Always a challenge to wander the wilderness with insulin and a restrictive diet. Even my glucose meter stops working in a humid environment! Great to hear you don't eliminate wilderness excursions because of diabetes!
