I had to watch this one again! Thanks for sharing ideas for more natural personal care. I think it's important to know how to make things naturally and for ourselves rather than relying on multi million dollar companies to make all our products.
You might already know this, but plantane picked right put of the yard is good for stings. You just squeeze it until the juice comes out and put it directly on a sting. Works great!

Making your own personal care products is so much fun, economical and rewarding.
I had a student(in my aromatherapy class) who told me about putting an onion in the arch of your foot for fevers- it was her great grandmother who always did this (she said they lived very rural in the late 1800's not near a town) it was carried through every generation-she had used on your children too- my daughter had a very high fever- so I put an onion in her arch with a sock- fever broke and onion turned black- I have used very since
Oh my gosh if you could do a video on Julianne and her teeth I would LOVE it! I’m struggling with the issues myself and Would love to hear what she’s doing to build up her teeth!
I use coconut oil for my oil pulling. I add a few drops of clove essential oil to a small container with the oil. Clove is excellent for dental health and health in general.
Hi Y'all , I'am a farmers daughter,👩🌾🚜I know the beautiful life of farming, now Iam in my 60 dad and moms with the Lord, unfortunately covid took mom last Christmas and dad with prostate cancer 2013 but, this special time ,in my life on the farm will never be forgotten!! They were the best times in my life besides knowing Jesus! !!✝️ Iam Happy to say , I Just put in my first order in from your store,I praise God 🙌🙌for y'all ,Iam very excited to get my package,🤗Stay blessed your sister in Christ 😇 Ingrid Anna From Amish Dutch Country ✝️👍🌼🌻🙌🙌
Also Stacy from Doug and Stacy off grid did a video on Redmond Bentonite Clay uses. She provided great tips on using it for detoxing from various toxic treatments, toothpaste recipe, and many other uses.
So a while back I tried the recipe Julianne gave for the lip balm-I have to say that it is amazing. No wonder you keep three in your purse. It is better than any other balm I have ever tried. Thanks for sharing the recipes and how to’s. I’m sure it would be easy to just say “we have this for sale” and not share but thankfully you do. Thanks for the book recommendations too. I will be adding to my library with these new suggestions!
My daughter is 16 and does the same thing!!! No girls around here use natural stuff or create it themselves...love that your daughter makes them too! ❤️ Edit: We love watching Rain Country too. 🤓
It took me a while to transition but I stuck with it. I use a diluted Dr. Jacobs castle liquid soap with water to wash my hair. It's about 1/3 soap to 2/3 water. This lathers well. Then I use vinegar and water rinse, half and half. My hair is healthy and strong. No split ends and long. I get compliments on my hair. It was definitely a transition but if you stick with it your hair will be healthy. I loved this video. Thank you for sharing your great information.
Julianne is so well spoken. It would have been cool to hear a bit more explanation direct from her. Good job young lady on learning true and valuable skills so early in life.
Thank you for this. I have enjoyed The Honeystead online too and thought Julianne may enjoy the tincture knowledge they share. I have always appreciated Rosemary Gladstar's books too so if Julianne has not spent time with those, she may like them. I get lavender soap from a friend. I have not found a shampoo replacement though so I am excited about trying what you recommended.
Thank you for sharing your journey with these products. Not an area that I have given much thought to and I appreciate the passionate pursuit Julianne brings to the subject. 😊
Something that works great for brown recluse spider bites is a paste made with 180 proof alcohol and activated charcoal. Put in on bite and wrap with plastic wrap. Change as need a few times a day. there won't be any rotting away. you can even make your own activated charcoal
Please revisit your choice of deodorant. As a formulator, Marie will understand that the ingredient list for native lists ozokerite as the third ingredient which means it makes up a good portion of the formula. Ozokerite wax is made from petroleum waxes like microcrystalline wax and paraffin. You can easily source 99% of the ingredients and make your own deodorant. You will also reduce the plastic you are putting in landfills by making your own and pouring it into your glass jars or a stainless tin.
I use goats tallow as a face cream, just add a few drops of essential oils and whip it up so it's fluffy and nice! Also I made a really good resin salve from just (beef) tallow and resin! Great on stings and scratches, excema etc. Has the lovely smell of resin.
I ordered the woodsy bar soap and the moisturizer. You are out of the washcloths, once in I'd order those. My pleasure to support your children, can't wait to try these items.
WOW!!! YES, I ALSO ENJOY LEARNING FROM RAINCOUNTRY SHE IS A WEALTH OF GREAT KNOWLEDGE AND I'M VERY GLAD FOR YOU IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO LIKE AND ENJOY THINGS THAT ARE OF A MORE NATURAL WAY OF LIVING!!!! GREAT FOR YOU DEAR!!!!! MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU!!!
This was a very interesting video. We have used the arnica oil salve for sore muscles. I have a friend that makes much of these products. She makes an nasal atomizer for head congestion that is great. I only make bath salts, sugar scrub, laundry detergent, liquid hand soap, toilet bowl cleaner, and just clean and scrub with baking soda.
I love seeing a young lady learning such a valuable skill and the intelligence to be an entrepreneur. Definitely agree with her creating an ebook or maybe even an online course where she can teach people to make things. Congratulations on your desire to learn, help your family and share your knowledge with the greater world.
I Loved this video! I love All things natural like essential oils and Castile soap. Love using the peppermint Castile soap in water in a spray bottle for my garden to keep pests away. Really works!
I use to work for Burt's bees here in Maine before they relocated and sold off some of their products. Burt passed away a while ago and it's changed a lot.
I use peppermint oil diffused in my air all the time. It helps stomach issues pain and so much other things. I want to learn more also Juliane you are such a positive mentor in this area
💜 Nice job Julianne! (Sorry your momma takes over your conversation though. She should lay low and let you talk more. Lol. Just something I noticed in today's video.) Love your channel otherwise. 💜
I literally thought the same thing. Julianne is doing fine but keeps getting interrupted. Please let her do her thing. She does great on her own. She made the stuff. Let her have her moment! 😊
I love Heidi from Rain Country! I have learned so much from her! Have you also watched Honeystead? They are definately ones to watch for herbal knowledge and many other things natural. They raise honey bees also. Love them!
I have been waiting for this video! 😍🥰 Really enjoyed it and feel inspired. I love love ❤ the few ingredients for simple hygiene. Anything coming up on homemade/clean products for around the home. (i.e laundry detergent, dish soap, ect.)
Awesome info!!! 🙏🏻🤩💜 My hubby likes the mixed berry re-lyte from Redmonds. My cabinet is stocked full of Earthley products, love them all & love the company!!
I'm a certified clinical herbalist and I can tell you...you're on the right path and well on your way! I'm always so happy to see people truly immersed in herbal healing. God bless you and thanks for the great recommendations!
Finally finished it! I love longer videos but watching during the day while the kids have their TV time while I get mine means being interrupted every few minutes 😂 If you haven’t tried earthley’s all purpose salve we use it for EVERYTHING. I am a breastmilk mom and have a freezer of breastmilk from 4 years ago just for the healing benefits but this salve is the next best thing and doesn’t sting on the kids ouchies! Our cuts, scrapes and scratches and extreme dry skin have all healed within 24 hours. I’ve never experienced anything like it before except for breastmilk, so I always have to share! You guys probably make something similar though. I need to get back into the ACV for my hair. I have super thick curly hair and it worked wonders. I will say, I use the cheap stuff too but found if I put the expensive mother version in a glass spray bottle and used that version once a month it was a GAME changer! I didn’t douse my hair in it but rather sprayed my whole head and massaged it in. I pour the other stuff directly on. I think the mother does something to my scalp and hair but man is it expensive!
I can honestly say the gold salve is quite effective and nice. The lip balm is quite nice too. The dish cloths are super nice. Basically, everything I have tried so far has been excellent. I would highly encourage others to try. I quite enjoyed this little walk through your natural as you can be home - I too am using some of those products - I make up a tooth powder from the clay, with redmand salt, cinnamon and cloves - I think it is helping and it whitens nicely too. The cinnamon and cloves are naturally antiseptic so they help with that part of the mouth and freshen too. Don't forget that a lot of these products can be used on the animals as well. Good info girls!
I love that you make your own products, I do too. My favorite clay to use in making soap so far is French green clay. It is full of algae and gives soap a soft green color while increasing it ability to draw off excess oils. Have you ever tried different clays? I also know that the bentonite clay you use is excellent in shaving soap because it provides the slip they need to have the razor glide over skin.
Thanks for sharing all the info I ordered lip balm and soap from you can’t wait to get it I am trying to go to all natural products as I purchase things love the channel guys!!
My husband works for a livestock feed supplement company and they sell all kinds of Redmond products for cattle and horses...ranchers LOVE Redmond products. We have also used many of their "people" salts as well and LOVE them!!! Redmond Real Salt both fine and Kosher, Re-Lyte (mixed berry is delicious as well 😉), and I recently have been trying out their organic season salt, organic garlic salt, and organic onion salt...DELICIOUS!!
Love this information! I am on a "getting better" journey at 44 years old. Some additions I have added are ginger tincture (obsessed with it) I make tooth powder, and my house cannot be without P73 oregano oil. That stuff is very very wicked but has completely changed my teeth issues!
You are not kidding... very wicked! I got some for a lung issue as oregano is a great respiratory treatment, but wowsers. It is not for wusses! As a card carrying wuss, I had to switch to oregano capsules.
@@karenpage9383 I was using it on an awful infected tooth, it actually took the fingernail polish off of my nails! I love that you say you are a card carrying wuss..I might have to steal that! 😁
Jamie we have tooth issues in our family, can you tell me how you used the oregano oil? And is P73 a specific one? I would love to hear your tips, I hate antibiotics but I'm afraid of infections in teeth and gums
@@juliabrown5948 Jumping in here to answer part of your question. The brand I bought, North American Herb and Spice available through Azure Standard, has this in its description "Oreganol P73 is the true wild oregano oil P73, a blend of edible species of wild oregano grown on natural, mineral-rich soil. This growing condition, along with our dedication to chemical-and-alcohol free extraction, is the reason P73 Oreganol oil has a unique chemical profile, which is ideal for human consumption. This same oregano species can be grown elsewhere and not have the same effect as the P73; it is truly one of a kind. Oreganol P73 can be used either internally or topically. Safe for everyday use." Hopefully Jamie can tell us how she was using it.
@@juliabrown5948 The brand is North American Herb and Spice, should say p73 somewhere in the ingredients and or on the bottle. WARNING: it will burn your gums a bit. However I cannot take antibiotics and had a very rotten tooth. Sadly our dentist retired and we are struggling to find a new one. So I started using P73, eugenol ( from a tooth rescue kit at walgreens) and cinnamon oil. The euganol is derived from clove oil I believe! I would also recommend oil pulling! HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
Great video. I love the Namaste America herbal shampoo from Azure. You should try that too. So natural. My daughter loves it too and she has the thick long hair.
btw just put my first redmond order- trying some salts and toothpaste and I was out of clay (we use it for bee stings -poison ivy etc live on a farm too) so looking forward to their clay- and the smoked salt was on sale- we do make our own while we are smoking meat but nice to have extra on hand- thanks for letting us know about this company-next azure
I love love love this video!! I’m always wanting to work towards more natural products. There are several items you’ve mentioned that I want to check out !!🤩🤩🤩 The “best” category hair care products…would you please reply with the brand you found that you said right now it’s just not something you can do at the moment for a large family $$ wise. (Although I do want to get the one you showed on the video) Thank you for this video! It’s great! 🤩🥰
Have you tried the J. R. Liggett bar shampoo? They have it at azure. Haven't seen a conditioner bar though. So I might try the one you're talking about, too. 😁
I love this video and definitely want to buy handmade natural items for Christmas gifts this year. Julianne should be a chemist or dr. of natural healing...she is so smart and has a passion for it. We need more people like her in the world. Thank you to the whole family for all that you share!💗🐦💗🐦💗
Y'all are so awesome!!! Another fantastic, informative video!!! I just found Bee Pollen at our local Winn Dixie grocery store last week. I used to take it daily. Would that work as an anti-inflammatory with the Apple Cider Vinegar? Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
New subscriber here! Thank you for sharing the natural products you and your family make and use. Do you use a natural liquid soap for daily handwashing? If so, can you make video of what you use? I’m struggling to find natural liquid hand soaps or recipes. Thank you!
in the first of the video you mentioned growing herbs. Have you ever rooted herbs in water? I tried doing that with an oregano sprig that had broken off and it rooted great in the water but promptly died when I tried to plant it in the dirt with the larger oregano plant. Do you all have any tips for transferring plants which are rooted in water? This video has some really good information. Thank you!
Thanks for all this fun info! You should check out Organic Darlings tallow based skincare. It's all made from grassfed, non medicated, happy cows' beef tallow, mixed with fun oils and resins. I love it (currently using Ageing Gracefully for my 60 yr old skin :). I totally trust the girl who makes it all in her kitchen because... she's my daughter!
I have been on a mission to replace my personal care products with better choices. I have gone through many of Azure's options for shampoo and conditioner, without much luck. That said, I do mostly like the JR Liggett's bar shampoo (makes hair soft but I feel like I have to use a lot for my long hair), but Azure doesn't carry their conditioner bar so I don't know yet if its any good. For conditioner I have been using a Rose Clay Deep Conditioner from The Grandpa Soap Co., also through Azure. Its almost perfect, but I still need a leave in conditioner (for reference, I am 50 and have an autoimmune that causes dry eyes, mouth, hair, skin... an sadly organs). I haven't tried straight coconut oil yet because even diluted jojobo oil leaves my hair really greasy. Any suggestions for a really moisturizing conditioner would be greatly appreciated! My lips and mouth are also seriously dry and I products suggested by my rheumatologist ave terrible ingredients. I'll have to try ordering yours, though I'm not sure it or anything else are up for the challenge.
Would the clay work on a tick bite? I’m having a allergy reaction from having a tick on my face near my ear. I had to go to the doctor because of the itching, swelling and draining. Which I think is from an infection. I had to get a strong antibiotic and a steroid shot. This happens with in just a couple days. I did back the tick out with tea tree oil and then applied tea tree oil but by the next morning I had all the swelling. We live on a small acreage and I’m sure the tick came in from the dog.
Love this video! Is Julianne studying homeopathy? I recently began studying it and instantly thought if he skills. Joette Cal abrese teaches so many practical uses (& free info on her 13 years running blog)
I've used the redmond toothpaste about a year ago and the flavor didn't last through the brushing. I see the box says new and improved. Does the flavor last longer now?
Ok I’m a new subscriber but one thing that is off putting to me is that people come to learn and get ideas not to buy things. My hope of subscribing was to learn how to do food preservation (canning and such), diy, and how to make homemade things. So not sure how long I will be a subscriber but actually showing us how to do these things would gain you all more subscribers and keep subscribers.
Your daughter should write an ebook with her recipes! People would love it!
I agree!! ❤️
I would definitely buy a paper back 🥰 I love things like this
Rain Country and Off Grid with Doug and Stacey are a wealth of knowledge. I use Heidi’s formula for laundry soap.

used your discount code saved a nice amount@@HeartwayFarms
I love this kind of video. Thank you.
I make a shampoo bar. It works great and is about .50 cents a bar and lasts and lasts
Not sure if you’ve ever tried them, but I’m a huge fan of Carina Organics products! 😊 (They have a completely fragrance fee line as well)
You should try the relyte immunity too! We love Redmond!
This is really good information. Thanks for sharing. Julianne reminds me of a modern Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman 😀.
I love love love this video!! I’m always wanting to work towards more natural products. There are several items you’ve mentioned that I want to check out !!🤩🤩🤩
The “best” category hair care products…would you please reply with the brand you found that you said right now it’s just not something you can do at the moment for a large family $$ wise. (Although I do want to get the one you showed on the video)
Thank you for this video! It’s great! 🤩🥰
Have you tried the
J. R. Liggett bar shampoo? They have it at azure. Haven't seen a conditioner bar though. So I might try the one you're talking about, too. 😁
Very informative video. I love all of your recommendations! Thank you! 😊
And I meant I want to buy YOUR natural items for gifts this Christmas!
ACV is good in a bath for sunburn 😊
Thank you for sharing! I love Native also but will check out Earthly.
Thanks for sharing., your daughter is smart & cute, thanks so much 8-27-2022👍🏽👍🏽
I like Tate's natural miracle shampoo and conditioner. Native also sells their deodorant in a cardboard container to cut down on the plastic.
Would love to have heard more from your daughter on the products, perhaps she would consider doing a video herself on the products she makes.
Thank you!
My people! 😍 My home is full of tinctures and body butters and remineralizing tooth powders ….. this life is so fun to create. Loved your video 👍🏼
I love your video! Would you tell me where to find the Black Drawing set? I looked on the Earthly site from your link and did not see it
Love your lip balm!
Love your shows! Very interested in your products.
I have the gold lotion and the soaps!
What brand of charcoal did you show today? Thank you. 😊
also make my own conditioner
I couldn’t find the bars of shampoo you were talking about, would love to try it. How do I find it? Thank you

Thank you so much for all this good information! Do you have any recommendations on herbal/home remedy books to have on hand?
could tell me what to do for itching .
Bentonite clay is great for itching! As is lavender oil
What brand of essential oil do you use?
I got got bite by a male black widow last year I thought I was going to faint I got nausea I need that on my farm
My mom grandpa when she had a cut on her leg it was pretty deep he packed it with spider web to stop the bleeding when she was a child
Do you all make laundry soap?
