@@nathanevans1382 I'd say that Valant is worse than Zak, he tried hard to frame Zak, saying it was a suicide would solve every single problem. Zak at least had a couple reasons and didn't thought it would cause so many problems, like ruining Phoenix career (he had nothing to do with it) and making Valant a suspect (he deserved it though). Forcing Phoenix to adopt Trucy was a dick move though, but he knew Phoenix would be a great father, and trying to frame him as a cheater also was a dick move. (except the fact Kristopher is literally -Dahlia- the devil and would cause another kind of problem to Phoenix)

That would’ve made Valant look suspicious as hell, especially with the letters and the fact that valant was at the CRIME SCENE when Magnifi commited suicide. Hell, it would take a lawyer like Kristoph or Wright to defend someone like that. And Valant couldn’t be certain that either of them would take up his case.
