  • The Bataan Death March occurred in the Philippines in April 1942 when 60,000-80,000 US and Filipino soldiers were captured and forced by the Japanese to march more than 70 miles while being brutalized by their captors. This year marks the 80th anniversary.
We honor these men and women by hosting memorial Tough & Basic Challenges across the country. During these events, you and your team will learn about the historical significance of the Bataan Death March as you experience an event where “No one left behind” is your team’s priority. Hit the link in our bio to find a memorial Challenge near you, and earn your unique Bataan Death March patch. Which is always earned, never sold.
"Once the march started, everything just sort of froze in my mind. I was pretty numb the whole time. I didn't think and I didn't feel. I was like a robot and just kept moving. Other than daylight or dark, I lost all track of time. I had to blank everything out and focus straight ahead. I lived from day to day, in fact, hour by hour. The only thing I thought about was the moment and, ‘The good Lord willing, I'll get through the day.'

This is an awesome event! I did it a few years ago and will do it again in 2024. God bless the Bataan men.

my Grandfather was a Sgt. in the US Army and was part of the Bataan death march, he was able to escape but lived in a village where he got very ill and sick- but he survived and is an official death march survivor- the stories he told us were terrible- those Japanese soldiers were brutal.

Thank you to all who took part in this memorial march. My Lolo (grandpa) was one of the Filipino soldiers that died during the Bataan Death March. My grandparents married so young, my grandma at age 16 and grandpa age 19. My grandma was left a widow so young and had to take care of my Dad and Uncle by herself for so many years. My grandma and dad did not speak of this for so many years and I learned about my grandpa in my teens. I hope to someday visit one of these events but having watch this and see how brutal it is, can't imagine what my grandpa went through to his death. To this day, there is still no closure as my Lolo's death left such a huge void.
