I grew up playing in Santa Cruz junior golf through high school and you explain this course very well! I have played this course at least 10 times and it’s truly one of the hardest courses i have ever played! Well spoken great deception thank you for posting this!
Your videos are so well done. Good chill music, informative and you are very skilled! As a 30 handicap I learn a lot watching you play. Please make more videos and take a trip up to Edgewood in Lake Tahoe, CA!
Just watching the first hole now, but if that cut stayed with you the back nine must have been tough. Agree about the greens. Played Pasatiempo once on a trip, with rented clubs (that went like you would expect). On one of the par 3s on the front I had hacked the ball about but had an 8' putt for par. At first look, I was thinking about 1' of break. One of the locals in my group was outside me on the same side of the hole. He turned his back to the hole and putted up the slope. The ball basically went through 180 degrees of curve and finished next to the hole. Mine wasn't as involved with the slope but I took another look and decided on 3' of break - made the putt.
I appreciate it! I range anywhere from a 0 to a 2.5 depending on how much I am playing. Usually my putter is my sore spot, so if I can get the putts falling then I can usually be around scratch.
@@carsonjoens did this course have a driving range or warm up area? You’re a great player, think I’ll move up to the white/green combo for this course 😂 Great vids! Love your California series.

Love the videos, Carson! What is your video setup? And do you attach it to your push cart?

I hit 1 fairway this round…. So yea it was “rough” HA!
I’d be interested to learn some of the qualities that made this the favorite of the famous course designer
What time of year was this taken? Those greens look incredibly slow when I thought they are supposed to be extremely quick.
Just found your vids. Well done. What app are you using as your shot tracer/vid?
Thank you! I am using the shot tracer for mac app.
This is such a great course...you have a great game Carson. What's your handicap?

@@freshcoolbutta it does have both, yes! Driving range isn’t the most impressive thing ever, but the putting green is super nice!
