@shidoshi723 so I'm not totally sure, we're from the US & as long as we don't spend more than 90 days in a 180 day period then we don't need any particular visa. I wish we could be of more help on that!!
Love this! We put our sticker on the flag pole at the top of the fortress...at 2:02 it's the black oval sticker in the middle of the pole 🤣🤣 We are totally giggling! Great video guys! Liked and subbed 🤙🤙💖💖
That's so awesome!! You guys probably enjoyed the heights far more than I (Trey) did. The views were gorgeous but mannnn it got a little nerve wracking there at the end🤣thank you so much for watching!!
Fun fact; Montenegro is one of the youngest country in Europe. It was used to be part of Yugoslavia. In 2003, Yugoslavia changed it's name to 'Serbia and Montenegro'. Three years later in 2006, Montenegro became it's own country.
Thank you so much guys!!! We loved Kotor so much that we're actually stopping there again for two nights in a few weeks while we're making our way from Dubrovnik to Tirana. It's probably the most at-home we've felt in a place since we left the US (Zagreb as well). You picked an amazing place to set up camp!! And thank you so much for the kind words!!! It's definitely been tough but we're loving every second of it!!
@@ProbablyLost We’ll leave Kotor July 6th heading to Krakow next for a couple months and then on to Budapest for a month. Reach out if you’re crossing our path.
You're going to LOVE IT!! Kotor's become a little home away from home for us. Let us know what you think of the town and thanks so much for watching!!😊
I was in Kotor many times, so I can say is wonderful place specially the views of all mountains. There, I tried the local beer which tastes like touching the heaven 😍
It's one of our favorite places in all of Europe! It's got that fjord beauty that's similar to Norway, with the Old Town that's similar to what you'd find in Croatia, perfectly blended with Montenegrin hospitality. It really doesn't get much better than Kotor. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our vlog Alonso!!😊
My wife & I are due to visit Kotor for a day (this Sept/Oct) as part of our cruise ship tour; it makes me feel a touch bad about visiting off of a cruise ship because the place is obviously worthy of a longer/better visit than just a day. Thanks for an entertaining video.
You will have a great time! Kotor is beautiful. Unfortunately our burger place has since closed, but there are a munch of great restaurants and things to do. The views you will get from the boat will be absolutely beautiful! 🤗 Thanks for watching!
I felt so sorry I didn't pop off my bus at Kotor and stayed there for at least a couple of days - it looked so fairytalish and dreamy that foggy morn that I felt like in a dream... mermerizing place...
You DEFINITELY should have but hey, it just gives you more reason to go back! Kotor's one of our home away from homes though. It's such a great community of people who are genuinely happy to see/meet you. We love it so much. Thank you so much for watching Gary!!!!
Me and a friend are going to cavtat in April, and are planning to rent a motorbike and drive the 45 miles to Kotor from cavtat. I was just wondering if you noticed like suitable parking?🤣 I know it’s a pretty basic question but I don’t want to drive all the way there and us have nowhere to securely leave our motorbikes haha. Love the video too! One of the reasons I want to go down for a day or two
Oh man you're going to LOVE that area!! We stayed in Zaton for a week which is a bit north of Dubrovnik & fell in love with it. Croatia's a top-notch country. As far as parking down in Kotor, you shouldn't have much issue with parking a motorbike at all. There are lots just outside of the Old Town gate where you'll be able to park & leave your bike. Kotor's got plenty of security in place & honestly, the people there are very defensive of tourists. A big reason why is because Kotor makes its money mostly through tourism & they're very well-known for hospitality & warmth. So of all the places in Montenegro to feel safe & secure about parking & exploring, Kotor's the best. One thing of note from our video, the burger restaurant we mentioned (Delicious Burger) moved to Tivat which is about a ten minute drive through the tunnel so if you're looking for great food then check it out as well as the CRAZY big marina there. It's definitely worth a stop. So sorry for the long-winded answer but hopefully this is a bit helpful. Have a great time & thanks so much for watching our video!!
@@ProbablyLost don’t apologise for a long winded reply, the longer the better !🤣 really appreciate the information, and yeah I did see that burger place and it looks quality plus you spoke highly of it so I’ll definitely have to check it out! Many thanks 🙏
What time of year did you go? Didn’t see/hear it mentioned anywhere, just that you kept saying it was off-season and great weather for this time of year haha! Would love to know when you went! Beautiful video!
Enjoy it!!! We love Kotor so much. You're there at a great time because tourist season is winding down & the old town feels so much more authentic. Have the best time!!!
We're in Kotor now. After we saw your recommendation for Delicious Burger, we thought we'd check it out. Unfortunately, it is permanently closed. Bummer!
Hi Paul!!! I know, we'd recently heard that they'd officially closed their doors in Kotor as well. They've moved to the nearby town of Tivat & I know they're getting ready to open fairly soon, but I seriously hate that you're going to miss it. Although, it's definitely more reason to visit again!!🤣 Thank you so much for watching our vlog!!!!
Hi Paula, thank you so much for the kind words!!! Thankfully you don't need any type of license in order to fly a drone in the country of Montenegro. We flew into the country and flew out without any issues going through airport security. Within the country there are certain areas where you can't fly due to airports/helipads/etc, but for the most part you'll be good to go!! I hope this helps and hope you love Kotor as much as we do!!!
Absolutely!! I'm not totally sure about what islands are around Montenegro, but we have a video showing most of the coastline of the country if you'd like to check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/qDCR-qqb374/v-deo.html Thank you so much for watching our video!!!
Would you recommend this place for like 2-3 nights? Or is that not enough to see everything? Because i’m looking for a nice city trip to surprise my girlfriend with
We'd ABSOLUTELY recommend it!! We are actually traveling from Dubrovnik to Tirana, Albania in a couple days and we specifically booked two nights in Kotor to split up the trip so that we could stop back in this town. It's small enough to definitely do over a couple of days and we couldn't recommend it enough. She'll love it Brian!! (Also, we're going to be eating at Delicious Burger AT LEAST twice while we're there. It's THAT GOOD!!!!) Thanks so much for watching!!!
@@ProbablyLost Thank you for your answer! I’ll book soon for mid august. Can’t wait to be there, going for 3 nights. Is there a hotel you can recommend? 😬
From what the locals told us, offseason is typically from November to April. Basically all of the winter months. We were there at the end of March though & we felt like it was perfect timing. Very mild temperatures & the crowds were very small when the cruise ship wasn't in the port.
Hello! I saw some drone shooting, did you need some permission to launch the drone? I have a small drone under 250g, it's an Dji Mini 2 SE I will go in Kotor in 2 weeks, I will be there on 17th September
Hi! So we did not have any issues flying our drone in Kotor. Granted, these shots were taken earlier in the morning in March when there aren't many tourists. You should be fine with a DJI Mini!
That's DEFINITELY a possibility! We felt like 15 total for both of us was fair though since it was so late in the day. Either way, we thought it was definitely worth it for the incredible views of Perast!!!! It's definitely one of the prettiest towns we've seen in the Balkans!!
You tell us that you love Kotor, but you didn't show us anything in Kotor. A long hike, a burger place, and some cats. It would've been nice to see more.
Thanks for the feedback. We'd just started making videos at this point so we were still trying to figure out how exactly to do things (& to be fair, we're still learning). Kotor's an incredible place so thankfully there are plenty of other videos about it that you could watch as well!
Great video! Such a beautiful place!
Thank you!! It's absolutely one of our favorite places. Great scenery, great people, & very affordable. We'll definitely be back!!
