- Session #2 of the Shroud Encounter with speaker Russ Breault focuses on the mystery of the Shroud of Turin to explore both crucifixion and resurrection revealing the purpose of God to reconcile mankind to himself through the sacrifice of his Son. This presentation makes use of over 200 superb images and unfolds like a CSI investigation.
This is the best review of the Shroud yet. I have been watching videos and reading articles on this for 40 years. I am a physician/surgeon and the forensics on the shroud convinced me beyond any doubt this is the burial cloth of Christ. Russ Breault deserves the highest honor for his work.
Although there are so many things one could state as evidence for the authenticity, to me the kicker is the fact no image is present underneath the blood. How any perceived artist could pull this off is beyond comprehension.

I have researched the SHROUD OF TURIN since I first saw a picture 0f it in 1954. I was privileged to know one of the early heart doctor scientists that did a lot of scientific research on the HOLY SHROUD at that time. I have heard many many lectures on the Shroud of Turin, I visited the cathedral where the Shroud is kept and visited the famous photographer, Giuseppe Enrie who took the first professional photos of the Shroud in 1933. Of all my experience concerning the Shroud, Russ Breault has done the most exhaustive and complete research on the Shroud, historically, scientifically and religiously. I do not doubt for a moment that the Holy Spirit guided him in all his endeavors. I sincerely applaud him for all that...........BRAVO !!!!!!

Yes this was a perfect beautiful presentation. I wish more Believers (non Catholics) knew abt this. I looked at it once saw what they originally said abt the carbon dating and thot oh well it can’t be authentic. BUT NOW after this and other later explanations I now believe it is the cloth of our Precious Savior!!!

Russ is awesome, I've been following him for years and I've also studied everything I could find on the Shroud for decades. Every time I watch a video of his I learn something new. I love his analogy of the Shroud being a receipt, very insightful, and which Russ came up with himself years ago. Now that is thinking outside the box. In this video we learned the term tetelestai can also mean 'paid in full' as opposed to simply 'it is finished'. Awesome stuff. God bless you Russ Breault and many more years.

One detail, though, I’d like to share: being the “King of the Jews”, fulfilling the Hebrew Scriptures, Yeshua’s last word was certainly spoken by Him in Hebrew: “נשלם”! (NISHLAM) (Yochanan “John” 19:30) which comes from the verb לשלם (LESHALEM) which means both “to pay” and “to make complete”!

What did jesus say, i am the light of the world, those who follow me will never live in darkness. This is real shroud 100% there's no way anyone even with today's tech replicate the image on the shroud and especially the UV b light transfer onto the shroud you need extremely powerful laser light and then to have the complete image of a man to be replicated onto a 2000 year old linen cloth as well & only on the areas of where the man's image is, not just over the complete cloth but just the image of jesus ?🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏🙏✌✌👍👍😀😀❤❤

A truly magnificent presentation. Astonishingly clear and wonderful.
The evidence is so weird (compelling) it really makes you question the Carbon-14 dating. X-ray spectroscopy later dated the shroud to the 1st century so there’s a conflict. If they redo the C-14 and get a 1st century date, the world may never be the same. I’m not sure anyone would have a way out of that result.

Seeing the NLT was quoted and never having seen that translation I thought that it accounted for what I assumed was the quote above saying, @9:30 "We ran to the tomb to see; and I outran Peter" (as if John is writing that he outran Peter). The NLT doesn't say that. I thought perhaps the wrong translation version was quoted and I checked a bunch more translations, but no translation I looked had the book of John's recounting of these verses written in first person. Every version I check has said, "the other disciple got there first", not "I outran Peter and got there first". WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?

i think the immense power of the divine light which causing the resurection makes it impossible for the c14-method to date it accurately, even when they will took a sample in a central field of the shroud.

Two lay people, Sue Bedford and her husband with the last name Marino discovered the difference in the corner that was tested just by looking at pictures. They then challenged the experts by sending a letter with a good explanation of why they thought it wasn't the original cloth. That's when Ray Rogers decided to prove them wrong and he came up with his results that it was indeed a re.weaving

It was no long cloth that covered the front and back of a person. The Catholic denomination did not exist until 1559 at the Council of Trent. What if people were paid to make it real from the tests?

Let's call the Jezus image that is used the most through history, image number. 2. Why not number 1 (?) because there are no number 1 images (of Jezus life time) that look like the image
we find most popular totday. So any depiction of Jezus as in number 2 is from much later. The shroud is a number 2 depiction = thus of a much later date.
I think the erratic depictions of Jezus in the beginning (the 'Mullet"-Jezus= number 1 as it is the oldest) betray an attempt of man to find the 'perfect' image of him.
So nobody knew how he looked like and just took libeties to make a depiction. The most popular image of Jezus with long hair, beard and crown of thorns, again I call this no. 2, is thus
a fake. As it is also on the shroud, the shroud must be a fake because it has an image that is an 'evolved' piece of iconography. Wich means its a result of guesswork and artistic

The funny thing is this, all that equipment yet the most simple test was to get some clear tape and stick it to the shroud to lift off any organic matter, lol. Which provided the most important results, the different types of limestone on the nose and also on the knees and the soles of the feet?
