    It's always super helpful to see a POSITIVE test instead of just practicing on healthy individuals. Thank you for this!!

    Nicely done . Thanks for sharing . Like your other video of CFL where you did comparison of both sides. I suggest you should do compare both sides for clear understanding as well as those like me should learning and never forget comparative analysis . Thank you so much

    I was hoping you would do the comparison of the unaffected side- so students could see what her "normal" is, while seeing what the "abnormal" anterior drawer looks like..

    Thank you very much for the instructive video. I may be interested in whether the subject of the video (who shows things) is a man or a woman, respectively. how old?

    After recently suffering a mild sprain of all 3 lateral ligaments (MRI report also shows arthritis), I noticed while medically rotating the foot inwards when turning positions to sleep, that my ankle felt 'loose' like it was moving out of place. No physio seems to see an issue but I have yet to find what I was experiencing. Right here, demonstrates the visual dimpling and feeling of what I see my ankle do when I turn my foot inwards when laying down. Is this treatable? And is it likely that the ligaments will tighten up over time?

    Excessive laxity is what we are looking for of the joint or of the ligament? Wouldn’t it be painful?

      Hi Aurora, the Ligament. Painful if partially torn, not so painful if fully torn. Good question.

    What is the best ankle brace for this? I had major ankle issues for years and it feels like it’s sliding around but I have eds and had hip surgery. They did the surgery and had to use traction to get into the joint space. Below my knee and ankle hurt more out of surgery because of all of the ankle issues. Elasticity, subluxation going on. I need reconstructive surgery but I had done so well for 20 years and still need to recover from the hip and try to get some muscle back. I just can’t find a good brace to help in this process…I feel lost… any suggestions?!

    What about placing the talocrural joint in full dorsiflexion and doing the anterior drawer test

    would this test work for testing the deltoid ligament? pain indicating partial tear and less if complete?

    • @OrthoEvalPal
      @OrthoEvalPal  3 роки тому

      Not really. I test the deltoid by doing pure passive pronation/eversion

      @@OrthoEvalPal is that comparing to contralateral side or is the laxity very obvious?

    Can we do this test in the case of severe inversion ankle sprain or eversion ankle sprain?

  • @GamingMasterHD

    Always compare with contralateral ! If she has similar laxity on the other side the test isn`t really positive

    • @OrthoEvalPal
      @OrthoEvalPal  10 місяців тому +1

      Yes. I don't do contralateral on videos because of the extra time it puts on the patient's plate. Other side was fine.
