@DrJamesGill Another Classic! You have no idea the amount of patients you have treated by making such videos by treating their anxiety and bringing them calm. Thanks doc. Gratitude is all I can give.
no le entiendo porque hablo español y ni se lo q haces amigo pero me gustan mucho tus videos, hay unos muy cosquillosos eres bueno para asmr,te sigo por eso
Great to watch this and looking forward to the deep dive! I have poor dorsiflexion in my left foot after dislocating it and breaking my fibula a few years ago. Have been noticing lower-right back and hip pain more often recently which I can only assume is connected somehow as there are definitely muscular differences between my legs since the break. Seeing this is another prompt for me to go and seek an exam to see if anything can be done to help improve it, thanks!
@@DrJamesGillI’m seeing a foot doc for the first time soon for ankle joint swelling and limited mobility pointing my entire foot like I did in dance years ago. I don’t want an MRI unless I have to. Are ultrasounds usually standard for the first look? I hope so.
I think that he should have kept it in. I feel like we never get to see any real patient reactions in the videos, it always tends to be "X is bothering me" (obviously just for the video) but we never see the tests producing a result that a Dr would be looking for.

Thank you for pointing this out! Just searched up that article on CNN, nice overview of ASMR really. Also, he's mainstream now, it's all over, I'm outta here :P /s
His extensors seen to be hypertonic. Extensor hallucis & Digitorums seem to be tugging tightly on his toes maybe causes that discomfort or rigidness. His toes look like they are really being pulled upward
To some degree I do wonder how much the exam does when it ends with "we'll need a scan" anyway. I'm a bit of a perfectionist at work so I imagine if I were a doctor, I would want the exam AND the scan too, but I could see why some might do only a basic exam for the sake of time if there's already hints of the issue just from the obvious symptoms and the scan being very likely in any case.
I don't know how to say this, but his feet look like they're shaped like hands. Disclaimer: I'm saying this in a neutral, purely observational, tone of voice, or even positive. Cause actually (and i hope that you, boy in the video, see this and smile or something) my first thought when the feet appeared was "wow! Nice feet!" :)) so, yeah, you have nice feet :)) and i hope you have a super awesome and fulfiling day :))
I wish it was that quick to get to physio 😂 I’ve had a back problem for 18 months where I’m unable to work as my day to day life is extremely difficult because of it and it took about 2 or 3 month just for them to refer me to physio. This dude got tiniest bit of foot pain and gets referred straight away 😂 only just the other day did physio turn round and say we’re referring you to MSK (musculoskeletal triage unit). Yeah I should have been referred to them months ago 🙄
Instead of showing someone with healthy feet you need to show someone with unhealthy feet and then tell him how to fix it I don’t do any good to show healthy feet
I always wash up well if I'm going to see the doctor or dentist, but I'm not sure if it'd slip my mind to scrub EXTRA before the doc asks if I'll help make a medical exam demo video :)
How Purell haven’t given you a sponsor yet is beyond me 🤣🤣
🤷 mainly use the bottle out of habit
Because the procedure is to actually wash their hands and not just use sanitizer.
@@DwightLivesMatter I’m sure he already washed his hands. These videos are for the assessment themselves. Not the build up to it.
Sheldon Cooper had made them billions!

1:00 When you need to go outside but can't be bothered to put your shoes on
Me going to get snacks at 3 am hoping no one will wake up 1:01
That was a good one Doc. As a long term (22yrs) sufferer of an ankle injury I did wince a little 😂

2000?! Jesus wept we're old. Great interesting content as per, Doc.
How come he's not 12!? 😅
I was thinking that too! My oldest was born in 2000 🥴
6:27 After watching the blooper short from this examination, I can tell why he’s smiling 😂😂
Where can that be watched?

Feet are weird to me. While I’m not afraid of them, I can see why some people have a foot phobia.
I'm glad you've stayed faithful to the original cinderella story

And I sprained my ankle last week what a coincidence?
approximately 175.000 people sprain their ankle every week.
@@andthingsofthisnaturethat's crazy thanks
I hope he gets his foot issue fixed.
what about the sniff test?
Loool
Me encanta todo lo que haces
What would a scan show in the situation? Based on the location and inconsistency of the pain, it seems unlikely that it’s a broken bone, right?
Ultrasound could show inflammation, evidence of impingement, lot’s of things

Oh no, you had to reshoot the painful part? Well, at least it was nice and slow this time. The "Short" version almost made ME feel his pain xD

please can you teach the haematological examination?
We can have a look yes
Would painkillers be really necessary in this situation though? And why? I'm not saying they're not, I'm actually curious
If someone is in pain, pain killers seem quite reasonable
Great as always. Your the best dr Gill!!! ❤

It’s possible, you always want to wear footwear that isn’t too small

Hi dr gill great asmr
Why no questions about what could have caused the problem with his ankle?.
That would take place in the history portion of the examination, here, we are specifically doing the examinations
the way this guy is laying down cracks me up.
It's interesting to watch these videos and realize my GP skipped like 75% of these steps during my exam 😂 Just off to xrays and then a specialist

Is there any way you can do a video about pregnant women with servers hg?
Good sport!
I just watched the blooper where he jumped in pain and Dr Gill looked confused so now I'm back here lol
