The Book Stall at Chestnut Court, Winnetka

The Book Stall is an independent bookseller and a great deal more. It's become a social center, a learning center, and a friend to lean on for many Winnetkans.
The Chicago Tribune quoted Roberta Rubin to this effect: "We know the names of most of our customers when they walk in the door.
The rest we know by the time they leave."
Coldwell Banker's Linda Martin invited me to meet Roberta Rubin, the proprietor of The Book Stall, this morning at its 21st anniversary sale.
