In Massachusetts we had Lechmere before Best Buy. Although Lechmere is long gone there's a subway station next to the old retailer's location that's still called Lechmere. Its amazing that hasn't been renamed.
Radio Shack built one of the first home computers, the TRS80 line.
I remember seeing the outside of a Ventures as a kid in the 90's. It closed down a LONG time ago and turned into a Menards. Was the only Venture I ever seen. Than a few years ago I think that menards closed and moved further west a few blocks lol. Lots of buildings sitting empty these days.
There is still one Peaches Records left in New Orleans. It's in an old Woolworth's location and has a lunch counter
Not all Toys R Us stores actually closed. There are 3 of them within a 10 mile radius of my house! (Yes, real, standalone full size stores, not pop-up kiosks inside another store.)
Not everything on your list has gone out of business. Yes Radio Shack corporate no longer has corporate owned stores. But there are Independently owned affiliated Radio Shack stores. I have one of the independently owned Radio Shacks in my home town.
