You wire the ethanol content sensor output to the OBD port, we actually have a video on the whole installation if you look back a couple videos 🤘. The DS1 has a pin that connects to the specific pin on the OBD port so it needs to be connected for the content to be updated correctly
Having gone through a couple tuning tools would you recommend this over Uni , APR, custom etc? Also have you run the DS1 OTS Map? Bi ask as I’m thinking of going DS1 stage 2 OTS map only.
We are custom tuned by Kyle at SRM given the built motor/ported head/hybrid turbo/external gate situation. Can't recommend him enough, great response time and knows his stuff. I've heard great things about their OTS tunes as well if your car has mostly just bolt ons. I think it's brilliant, you don't get locked into one company, if you have issues, you can find another tuner.
Hey man, I just saw a DS1 in person for the first time and it seemed dope. Could you make a video about how it works? What files it comes it? Compare it to a general tune?
I don't know of a way to switch it at this time, but maybe Dyno Spectrum will allow you to select it in the future or a custom tuner could set it up for a different button
It's automatically enabled with the off the shelf maps if I recall correctly. Dyno Spectrum considers it map 8 I believe, which is temporarily enabled when pulling down the cruise control stalk.
Adjustable launch control (DAZA only): When the vehicle is not moving, you can rev the engine to where you want the launch control RPM to be and hit SET on the cruise control stalk. We recommend not revving the engine whilst in park, but to do so in neutral.
Yes they should be able to be performed without virtual cockpit. The DS1 was originally developed on the 4.0L platform and a lot of those cars did not have virtual cockpit
Love the DS1 content! Keep it up.
It's a fantastic tool, can't say enough great things about it!
Still loving the DS1??
@@actright yes! Love being able to log anything and review it in mega log viewer anytime.
Did you have to wire in your ethanol sensor so DS1 can read it?

@@HardwayLearning thanks! 🙏🏻

Ontop of being able to log everything from your phone of laptop is a game changer.
With anti lag do you have to use the cruise control or can you choose say a different button in the car to activate/use it?
I don't know of a way to switch it at this time, but maybe Dyno Spectrum will allow you to select it in the future or a custom tuner could set it up for a different button
Does the rolling anti lag have to be programmed by your tuner, or is there a way to program it to a map on your own?

@@HardwayLearning awesome! Thanks for the fast reply!
I wish APR map switching was this simple. You have to count the blinks of the CEL
I didn't even know they had map switching, interesting
How do you change launch control rpm’s on the DS1? Thanks

I know got the triangle with explanation point light coming on when I put it gear?
can these functions be performed even without virtual cockpit?
Yes they should be able to be performed without virtual cockpit. The DS1 was originally developed on the 4.0L platform and a lot of those cars did not have virtual cockpit
Is it a true flex fuel? Don’t need to empty the tank to add ethanol?
That is correct, it automatically adjusts boost and timing if you have an ethanol content sensor wired into your OBD2 port for the DS1 to read
Are you happy with DS1?
@@derrickgarcia303 it's one of the neatest flash tools I've seen
You have contact info for your tuner?
Reach out to Silly Rabbit Motorsport, it's tuned by their in house tuner Kyle LeBlanc
How do u do this without cruise control
Use the web application to set the maps with your phone
Making me wish I could get a unitronic credit for the $1,000 I already spent 🙄
At least it didn't blow up the engine like our Custom Code tune 😬
thanks , Their instructions are not clear ...a video is a 1000words..lol
Glad we could help!
