“If one part’s hurt the whole body is sick, if one part mourns we all mourn with it.” That part is absolutely beautiful. In church our pastor was talking about how the church is united, and my mind instantly jumped to this song!
@@tumedasco7010 according to the lead singer “It's about the passion we feel when we first fall in love and our emotions are running high, along with our thirst for this great life and all it has to offer”

Alright, from looking at all of the comments below, I just thought maybe I needed to say something. When we pray to God, we need to remember not only the needs that WE have, but more importantly, the needs of everyone. It's the whole body of Christ that what we should be praying for. Sometimes things happen that we don't understand, but if there is something that we need to understand now, he will reveal it to us in his own time. As he asked someone in the Bible 'Were you there when I created the Leviathan?' We should rely on Him instead of what we see for ourselves. It's part of having faith. Don't beat other people down if they don't understand something. Instead, why not try to help them along? Enlighten in the ways that you feel you should. 'One flesh abiding, strong and unifying!' 'If one part mourns, we all mourn with Him.' Lend a helping hand. Show mercy, please. Hallelujah.
hi peeps.i love flyleaf.and i love this song. lacey sturms my role model. when im having a bad time all i have to do is listen to flyleaf and everything else goes away.i melt into the music.
the song Cassie by Flyleaf is about the Columbine shooting in Colorado that happened In 1999 this song is talking about God and beautiful bride is the Church
ofc! and sorry if it seems repetitive. i've seen and heard about alot of people who say they are Christian, but use the word to put themselves above others, and don't act like Christians. i'm thankful to those who step aside and allow others to believe in what they want. that is great to see! and yes, we are all on this earth, so we should learn to live together, even with differences. we're not all the same, but share the same home :)
Strengthen your arms is from Proverbs 31, train your fingers for battle is from Psalm 144 verse 1 They're personal favorites :) Proverbs 31 is what to look for in a wife, and 144 is great as an athlete
This is a great song. Heavy riffs and everything, which is cool. And Lacey's voice in this song is really strong and the harmonies she chose blend well with that. And fighting does end in forgiveness, btw. I think that's kinda the point tho. We are all children of ONE Father, and with the way the world is now, I feel like it divides us and tries to pull us away from Him bc of the temptations of the modern world. It's really a shame, too, bc I'm not perfect and I'm certainly not a "Jesus freak," but I most certainly do believe He is real and He will return for his children one day and on that day, I wanna walk with Him, bc I love Him and I need Him in my life
Flyleaf is my role model they are still a rock band but a chirstian as well. I look up to them so someday me and my band will be maybe someday a great band like them. ~Flyleaf lover~
all the times I've listened to this song, I always thought she was saying "Beautiful Bride, why do you cry?" instead of "Beautiful Bride, body of Christ." welp, now I know lol.
I honestly think it would be better as "why do you cry". After all, not only would it makes sense on the grounds that it isn't uncommon for a blushing bride to be an emotional wreck before her big day. And when you place that idea in with the rest of the song a lot of it clicks together quite seamlessly. But, you know how Christman rock is, if they don't shoehorn in God or Jesus it's the end of the world.
Yui Shishido that's not a shoehorned metaphor. The church is refered to as both the bride and body of Christ (1Cor 12:12-31,Eph. 5: 22-33, 1Cor). Marriage is used through the entire bible as a metaphor for God's relationship with his people.
Camille Pendragon look, I while I do not share your beliefs I do understand and respect them. However that aside look at Skillet. A Christian rock band that attracts all groups. Fly leaf alienates other belief systems thus holding them back. When you are blunt and abstract with such concepts people will often turn it off. If spreading the word of YAHWEH is so important then you keep it subtle and keep people in. Then like Skillet use the concerts as a venue for such preaching. Do you understand where I'm getting at? True, my original comment came from a place of annoyance but my underlying point stays sound.
perhaps you see it from your eyes, but not from His? our job is on planet earth, and our paycheck is eternal life. Just because we pray and ask does not mean He always says "yes". i've lost friends, and thought "how could He let that happen? why?". but then i let Him open my eyes so i could see it His way; and what peace i have now, and a much better life with Him
There are good rappers out their, you just have to be open minded enough to find them. Petadee for example is really good, in my opinion, and his lyrics sends a good message.
I think it was said best in the song, "fighting ends in forgiveness". Forgive those who offend, I think that's kinda the point (or one of them) of being a Christian. Head in the game, people!
Joshua Strickland This morning in church my preacher was talking little bit about forgiveness. He said that you got to let the Lord inside of you to forgive. You can't forgive alone. It's not in mankind mind to forgive. You got to have help in the Lord to forgive. It is hard to forgive. I think "Fighting ends in forgiveness" means you will forgive the people who hurt you when you let Lord Jesus Christ inside your heart.
+Joshua Strickland I find many Christians defensive about their beliefs and not being as Christ was: humble, forgiving, understanding, turning the other cheek.
As a human, we feel we have to defend what we believe. Their are ways to defend, but not be aggressive. All the things you mention are true, but think of what Jesus did when he saw people peddling their wears in his fathers house, he went in Guns blazing telling them to get out. Would you want someone selling livestock and stuff in your parents home? mostly likely not. Also, Jesus was no push over. He was a radical and rocked the temples by preaching love and understanding, but also things that the priest found offensive. I would defend the name of my Savior until I am blue in the face, but I do it calmly. To Turkey understand what Jesus wants from us, we hAve to understand the man. Everyone had a right to defend their faith. Jesus was not humble. Jesus was not always understanding, and didn't always turn the other cheek. Jesus was a man, who died and battled death for our souls, then was resurrected as the true son of the father. Not to be mean, but I think you need to really look into what it means to be a Christian. Whether you are one or not. You can't speculate how people are to behave. Humility is the key. Respect others, but don't be a push over. If you offend the name of my Savior, I am not going to just sit back and take it. Take pride in your faith, not yourself.
i'm glad to see this. i'm not a pagan, but i'm glad that we can find something in common. yes, i'm a Christian (living to be Christ like), and i see you 2 are Pagan, but if you don't mind me saying, may God bless you both.
I've found proof in personal experience. All that I can say to you is that when you look for reasons to deny something, you will find your reasons. The same is also true if you look to affirm your beliefs. God doesn't simply let you put puzzle pieces together, when you want him, he proves it.
@CockyGekko Diversity is good indeed, I can't agree more! See, I have hands that are different to my feet, I have eyes that are different to my ears, I have muscles that are different to my bones. And that is how we are to be as a church, as the song puts it, "Unified diversity, functioning as one body."

Eric just looked under her table and said 'peek-a-boo'. Cassie couldn't even answer because he shot in her head killing Cassie instantly. The girl who claimed her faith in Jesus is named Valeen Schnurr, she was shot 9 times but survived the attack.
