You did the right thing bro. The people saying what you should've done, are the same people saying you should've complied if the police light you up. Mission is to get home safe.

He doesn't choose where those ad's get placed, that was just a fun coincidence lol. They can only choose ad's if they make the ad's themselves or are partnering with a company. That was a UA-cam ad cuz I have a Premium account and there were no ad's in this whole video.

U didn't have to explain sh*t to any weirdo in a UA-cam comment section. We have too many noobs who look at UA-cam videos, of people who start talking about them being sovereign citizens and all sorts of nonsense. They wanted u to put on a show for the camera - because they're bored in life, and sit and look at YT videos all day for fun.
U did the right thing. Don't trip over comments from people you don't and most likely will never meet in life. Be yourself and handle business like u choose. Btw, i like your videos. I've learned so much. I've been grinding here in Chicago, and things are looking great being a entrepreneur. Thxs 4 the free game

It does gets lots of clicks and views, but like you said at the end of the day who is checking on the real victims in the situation the family members who have to live the rest of their lives without someone they love. Death is tough for everyone. Thanks for giving us your point of view!

Never try to have court on side of the road (or parking lot). In those moments, they are judge, jury, and prosecutor. It's easy to say "could've, would've, should've" until you're in that situation. You did the right thing. It's happened to me when I was delivering newspapers at 3:00 am one morning. They assumed I was drunk because I was all over the road. I told them I was trying to get the customers' newspaper in their driveway as far a possible. I took 3 breathalyzers. They couldn't believe it when I came back negative all 3 times. They quietly got back in their Tahoe staring at the breathalyzer in disbelief and I finished my route and went to class. I could have acted a fool, cuss them out, and threaten to sue but I just wanted to finish my job and go on with my morning. Again you did the right thing! Stay safe!

That's my point, what if the eyewitness mis-identified you... You would have been arrested & possible hurt.. so it goes both ways. They already proved they had an issue with proper identification, asking you to step out for lineup was out of line, people just saying you have rights. Your lucky it turned out the way it did but could have gone bad if the witness had said you were the POI & ended up arrested waiting for bond, hire an attorney. You have every right to politely decline.

It's a frustrating situation sometimes. I don't have an issue (for myself) complying when I know I did something wrong or when I know they are doing the right thing...even if it's a mistaken identity. The problem I have is when they lie to me, create false charges to pull me over, act superior... I'll be generous and say 50% of cops should work at McDonald's not law enforcement.
My other issues are their gang mentality, abuse of power to climb the ladder, ignorance of the law and ability to legally lie to people or claim qualified immunity.
I shouldn't have to feel scared, intimidated or violated by law enforcement unless I'm recording before, during and after.

We think you did the right thing in that video for yourself. However, our attorney advices us to not give our ID unless we are arrested when asked. The reason for this is police reports are stored on a private, permanent database (NCIC - National Crime Information Center) and the UCR program (FBI database) that can be accessed anywhere by any officer. It shows them every interaction, so the more you are in the database, the more you look like a party of interest to an officer. There was an officer in our area that used it to stalk his ex-wife (that’s how much information it contains). Officers questioning you are looking for signs (words, body language, gestures) that you are a criminal.
We also noticed they asked you to get out your van, and face away from it. At that moment, anyone could have created probable cause by saying they saw something or planted something. We say this because we couldn’t tell if your business partner was in the van or not. So be careful there too. We wonder if it was another driver or store associate creating a problem for you. It all looked fishy.
As said before, we think you did well because you don’t have an attorney on retainer to call and handle the situation. Stay safe!
PS: Your cameras also helped the situation.

I watched your video, you did the right thing. I also do gig work, a few weeks ago I was on a 3:15am Amazon package route and worked this area lots of times but, this time as I stopped and dropped of my package I saw a vehicle approaching. I took my picture and stepped off the porch and saw it was a cop.
He asked if I was ok, I said yes and told him I was working. I was also wearing an Amazon vest but I don't think he registered what I was saying, so I repeated I am working and pointing to my vest, he still didn't get it, I repeated I am delivering a package to the customer from Amazon. He then responded, this early? I said yes, we start at 3:15 am. He said okay and be safe. I got back into my car, he passed me and I turned around going the opposite way.
Long story short, I don't think he believed me because my next 4 stops he was right there watching me before he was satisfied and let me be. I said to my sister-in-law and brother that the least he could have done was help me drop some of my packages off, since you he is following me to every stop.
I don't need to be right, I need to be safe when I'm out there. It was uncomfortable but as long I know I'm not breaking the law and have nothing to hide no need for me to be combative.

You can comply and they still be did wrong. Knowing your rights is very important because as a citizen you’re entitled to them. There’s certain things they’re not supposed to do!

Hello my brother my name is John and I also am very aware of my rights as well as I'm a armed security officer will my CPL as well as firearms insurance I just want to say I agree with you all the way several times I was being profiled by law enforcement but I just made it easier on everyone exactly everything you were saying now have a conversation with them comply that way it would bring the threat level all the way down and at the end of the day they were just see that every brother is not a criminal and that speaks volumes for itself

CCC. You did the right thing. I’m a Libertarian know my rights kind of guy, but they had “Reasonable Articulable Suspicion” that you were the guy who had been reported to have committed a crime. Was the color of the Sprinter van off? A little but it’s not like you’re driving a red Sprinter. Sprinters are a much less common vehicle than a pickup or sedan.
If you tried to leave, you would have definitely been detained. The number of cops present tells me it wasn’t an insignificant crime.
And BLM could raise plenty of money over your death, but they won’t care about or do anything for your family.
