This performance was at Rubycon Records in Los Angeles , California. This was the second time I had seen Forever Grey live. While the first will always be my first, this was so much more intimate, in every respect. The record store was abuzz. Notables were Gregg from new Boy/High Functioning Flesh to Mr. Kontravoid, himself, to Andrew from Drab Majesty/ VR Sex. This was the first time meeting Kevin and Anna from Forever Grey and they were total sweet hearts. Very cool and very much my people.
In this close quarters affair, the deep dark chords of Kevin's guitar reverberate from leg up to spine. This is soon accompanied by his hallow croon. When Anna comes in her voice and presence masterfully takes the stage and Kevin proverbially steps into the background.
Forgive the weird zooms and chops in sound. This was my third time using my phone to record a performance and I have a lot to learn about this kind of filming. I could have filmed it in 4k, but didn't notice it was the wrong setting! Amateur!
Ah, man. I fucked up the levels on the edit. I'm sorry anyone listening to the halfway mark. Curses. I may need to fix it and reupload this video.
