Bubble lost the trust of the most reliable users. Too drastic changes. Too expensive for MVPs. Too impredictable for entrepreneurs.

There has definitely been a trust issue. But I'm hopeful they are going to grow stronger and better from this . They are already rethinking/tuning the calculations

Agree! This is about trust, that simple e important word. only for that, I could migrate to another platform.

Embarassing to dress this up as anything positive for Bubble developers. It clearly isn't. Filtering and hiding comments is obviously happening here also to remove any negativity, what a joke.

I wrote a negative but respectful comment mentioning the 99% negative user reaction on the bubble forum. The prior post was deleted 5min after posting. I will screenshot this comment, in case it is deleted as well.
Using simple functionality such as API calls, this pricing model is completely infeasible. In this video he says “lower costs”, but most user are reporting an estimated 10-20x increase in cost. The forum included many breakdowns showing evidence of this.

We've got many apps for our clients.
Some of our client apps are negatively affected
      Some are totally fine.
Guess which apps are arriving on the forum. The ones negatively impacted.
The people arriving on the forum to raise a complaint are valid.
But there are definitely apps which are totally fine.
There is a side of the coin you are not seeing.
It depends on app to app. use case to use case.
With that being said. Now that I actually have hands-on the editor. The way workload units are calculated and the amounts in the tier, there definitely seems to be something off here. Some patterns/features suddenly become too costly which is bizarre.
Hoping to see more optimization efforts by bubble that reduce workload unit use

@@zubair_nocode Please post these metrics in the forum. Let's see it first hand. It's pretty hard to believe unless they are just static page-view apps.

@@zubair_nocode you said "Some are totally fine." I was asking for examples under the announced pricing scheme... My comment was made before the 2000+ negative comments in the forum and before the Bubble management team was forced to respond to the community backlash.

So as a person who has just started learning bubble.
Should I continue learning it or move on to another no code app like Webflow or Framer?

    • @zubair_nocode
      @zubair_nocode  Рік тому

      Depends on why.
For you own app, if the use case requires millions of records, may want to learn bubble+xano.
But normal use cases, probably ok.
      For freelancing. Sure.
Bubble is amazing skill to have in your toolbox. But I wouldn't think of this as a marriage to bubble. It's a platform and a skill

It’s not about inefficient apps. Simply making external API calls will make the pricing of your app not financially feasible. Show us your actual metrics and how the costs would differ under the new model.
