Years ago I asked my dad how he keeps his garden looking so good. He got one of these tools out of his garage and showed me how to use it. I bought one for myself and have been using it ever since - definitely my favorite garden tool!❤️
Oh Wow Vanessa that is an awesome tool. I will be getting one of those. It’s hot and humid here in Tennessee too. Your garden looks great. A lot of work I know.
Love a stirrup hoe. My mom used to have a tool that was like a stirrup hoe but more like just a straight razor. Super sharp, had to be very careful but it made super quick work of weeds as well. Great tool!
After watching your video, I ordered the hoe. I have seen them before, but was not sure how to use it. This hoe is the bomb! It is SO easy to use and I can get so close to the plants! Before I was using a grubbing hoe and wearing out my shoulder. Thanks so much for the recommendation!
Quick question: Do you struggle with mosquitoes? If so, how do you get rid of them? I live in GA and mosquitoes are making my gardening life, miserable.
We use a sharpened hoe for mint (we raise for root stock and for oil). This looks like it might be a little lighter in weight and have the advantage of bi-directional.
holy molly, what weather do you guys have in August? here in the Northwest we're just getting some hot summer temps...in the high 70's low 80's. I've also seen this tool called an 'Action Hoe'; it is super great when mid-spring weed seeds are starting to sprout.
Weed fabric is the worst. As it degrades in the elements you'll be pulling up chunks of it for years to come. Easier to weed and keep it mulched and you're adding natural organic matter to the soil instead of a synthetic fabric that degrades over time.
Just got one of these today made light work of weeding my border!! Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 !
Glad to hear it!
Love the chicken running around helping

Ooh! That sounds amazing!
I have a hula hoe for years! My very favorite garden tool!
I will definitely be getting a stirrup hoe for my garden. So much better than trying to pull all the weeds out! Thanks for the video.
Great tool, I love it for weeding desert landscaping also.
thank you for this video, I bought one and as soon as it came used it to clean out around my climbing rose - worked great!

This IS the best tool ever!!! I have several!
Me, too! One of my favorite tools. I also call it a hula hoe.
I love seeing your chicken following along eating up the grubs & worms 😊
Looks so easy to use!
They are so handy.
I love my stirrup hoes...actually planning on using one today to tackle some weeds!
Yasss! Doesn’t it feel great when it’s all nice and clear?!
Quick question: Do you struggle with mosquitoes? If so, how do you get rid of them?

We have these in California but called Hula Hoes. I love mine.
I wonder if it would work on the hawkweed that is taking over my lawn?
Nice working 👍
Will you be doing a vlog on your garden plan for fall? Thanks!

Cool!!! Thanks Vanessa!!
I had one of these and lost it in our move. Could not think of what to call it to find a new one. Where did you find it? Thank You!
God, that's a lot of work especially here in Florida with this heat and humidity. Stay hydrated.
Thanks I had heard of these but never seen one used. I have had a lot of.problem with powdery mildew this year. How gas it been for you?

Can this tool be resharpened?
Funny, pretty sure it's end of July all over the world. My little one heard you say that and asked what it was somewhere else. Just had to share.
You are a "Dandy" so down to earth.
How often do you have to read that section? And why not use a sieve fabric which would prevent the weeds from germinating in first place?
Weed fabric is the worst. As it degrades in the elements you'll be pulling up chunks of it for years to come. Easier to weed and keep it mulched and you're adding natural organic matter to the soil instead of a synthetic fabric that degrades over time.
I like your chicken
Hi
Are you afraid of snakes?
