David Phelps (4th guy) - as people pointed out, THE first tenor. Might as well consider him the best Tenor in contemporary music, ever since Pavarotti's death. Mark (5th guy) - Baritone (really funny guy)
Cannot get through this without crying. Its just so perfect,so clear. All these men put so much energy and emotion into this beautiful song. Why this group hasn't sang the anthem during a super bowl truly baffles me.
This is the most powerful, tear-jerking, heartfelt and wonderful rendition I've seen to date. While sticking to the original arrangement of the piece, GVB were able to deliver a performance never to be forgotten, a memorable experience. Surely they were endowed with mighty singing voices!
As a Marine, hearing the national anthem played or sang it brings me a sense of pride of being proud to have served my country. Hearing this awesome rendition not only brings pride but tears as well. This is the greatest a capella arrangement of the national anthem I have ever heard, sung perfectly by the absolute best 5 gospel singers you can find. Also, David always blows away everything he sings - he is a MONSTER and I love his voice. But poor David at the end there, hitting that impossible C, must have had a long day of recording - he was straining quite a bit to hold that out. You can hear him almost crack off the note if you listen closely. The live recording of this sounds amazing too. This is just the best.

Totally agree!!!! I sing it in a very traditional, "as written" way, but if you go off script, you should take this route.
I prefer the Barbershop version performed by Gas House Gang, but this is the second best.
