The sad thing in Pittsburgh is that they still aren't finished paying for Three Rivers! Pittsburgh isn't exactly a wealthy city so the state will have to help.
What if the LA Chargers leave for Toronto? Will the Vikings, Lions, and 49ers leave the NFC for the AFC and the Bills, Browns, and Colts leave the AFC for the NFC? Why not give BMO Field a massive transformation from a soccer-specific stadium into a full-blown NFL-standard multi-purpose stadium with football, soccer, concerts, and so on all in mind now that the Rogers Centre is a mostly baseball-centric stadium? Why not move the Argonauts to the NFL?
@@Kenadams240 London is very unlikely. Instead of joining the NFL, London could become part of a Europe-wide football league. Don't confuse American football with the football that we Americans call soccer.
All Raymond James needs is a canopy like Miami plus an entertainment district on that empty land they already own. The Bucs aren't leaving. Between their continued success and the exploding population in Tampa, idk how that's on DG's radar.
The renderings for the proposed renovations to the ancient and historical Coliseum of Rome have been released. The proposals call for a new translucent roof to be built over the existing Coliseum structure. A stadium district with bars, restaurants, and retail space which will connect to the Roman Coliseum have also been included in the new renderings. Stay tuned.
4:35 Can Neo RFK Stadium be rebuilt for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders(Redskins), Major League Rugby's Old Glory DC, and United Football League's DC Defenders since the original RFK Stadium and FedEx Field gets demolished in 2026-2030?
Problem with Raymond James is how to renovate if that is their intention. They do not need more seats so I guess they can upgrade the seats. Maybe add more interactive areas. Do not think they will add a full roof. Maybe more protection from the sun and raining on the fans. If building a new stadium is a decision there is a spot. Right next to it where the Sombrero(previous stadium) use to be.
Raymond James(Bucs) will be 30 in 2028. One of the Glazer(owners) said recently the stadium still has life in it and nothing needs to be done right now. After Tampa won the Super Bowl in 2002, The Glazers stopped spinning money on free agents and trading their players. Most fans blamed the Glazers because they were spending a ton of money on Manchester United. The attendance dropped a lot. This time the Glazers are doing the right stuff. I do not think the voters would vote yes on a new stadium. The city could easily circumvent a vote and extend the 1/2 sales tax they used to build RJ. I think they will renovate in the next 10 years. Do not think it will be with a roof. But it will need to be something that protects the east side of the stadium from the Sun. Also effects the visiting team which is good. Rays is St. Pete issue and has nothing to do with Tampa. Tampa will commit resources with a revenue stream already available.
Glazers haven't done anything major at old trafford and it needs modernization. they're looking at spending close to $1 billion because Man City's new renovations will make their stadium the premier event centre in manchester. Don;t think the family can afford to finance anything for Tampa with these interest rates.
If Raymond James got a roof similar to Hard Rock, that would end any moving speculation. Even without a big renovation they would have no reason to leave any time in the foreseeable future
Who is this rambling uninformed child? Theres less than a 0% chance the Bucs ever move. Football is king in Central Florida. If you took the time to do any legitimate research that wasn’t just a google search, you’d know that.
Would the renovations to Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium replicate the massive upgrades done to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro roughly a year ago? Will it accommodate the Pittsburgh Riverhounds should they leave the USL for the MLS? By the way, how many football stadiums across the US are copies of Gillette Stadium?
You’re saying MetLife Stadium is outdated because the seats wraparound. Well, those seats are sold every game so I am really thinking it’s not outdated.
from a Jets fan i don't hate the stadium itself i just hate having to share it with the Giants that sucks i would much prefer building a Stadium somewhere in NYC but i understand the sheer cost of land never mind construction will probably prevent that
I absolutely love stadiums, main reason I follow this channel. The future of stadiums is making me sick. All the same crap being built. mega stadiums that all look the same. All character is being lost. In 15-20 years, all teams (minus Packers), gonna be playing in the same damn stadium. No advantage outside of travel.
Damn everyone is moving in 5 years?? So soccer stadiums that last over 80 years and look far worse are doing just fine and you want these stadiums gone already?
I get that new stadiums and rennovations are cool, but looking at the current state of NFL stadiums, almost all are in good situations. exlcuding the worst situations like fedex, no team really needs a new stadium in the next 15 years. relax, we dont need to spend tax payer money like its nothing
It seems that the renovations are most likely towards the AFC North 🏟️ with 🐦⬛ ✅ but the other 3️⃣ 🚫 decided on renovated or building to certain suburbs.🤨
Yeah the bucs aren't going anywhere DP. As someone who has lived back and forth in Tampa and plans to return soon they absolutely love their buccaneers. They should build A new stadium by the water in downtown where the rays were trying to go before. It's a pirate theme so a waterfront would make it cool with a huge pirate ship docked right in front that will have a bar and restaurant in it.
What I think is most likely gonna happen is Giants and Jets are going to stick with MetLife at least the next 10-15 years. The Giants will head over to Weschester County, NY in Yonkers there is as there is an 95 acre plot of land just 15 minutes northeast of Empire City Casino just off of I-87N. The Jets will probably end up on Long Island, 30 minutes east of the Nassau Memorial Coliseum.
🐦⬛ fans like their 🏟️ and the renovation happen and the Commanders and its 🏟️ with renovation was supposed to be before now, but was under previous owner scrutiny. It should have done years ago.
3:49 Not meaning to pick on you about a technicality, but you’re saying “translucent” roof, while the renderings show a Transparent roof. Just curious as to which one it’ll really be. Translucent roof might be better, as it would block out the blaring Sun, but letting in it’s light.
i always just think it's funny what projects humans come together and fund. My hometown middle school is over 100 years old and has no A/C, town couldn't stomach building a new school. NFL stadium for $3 billion every 30 years? Where do we sign? Not the same I know i think it's funny tho
"Cookie cutter" stadiums? Well, all of the fields are "cookie cutter," being 120 yards ling by 53.33 yards wide, without exception. So naturally, many of the stadiums will look alike.
I have been to MetLife Stadium for both football and concerts. I disagree with you saying it is a bad stadium. It just is not new anymore and has not been updated since its opening almost 14 years ago. It is also very minimal regarding the concourses because it is a heavily used stadium and with 2 NFL teams. I don't mind the exterior design or the seats. But yes, it lacks personality. Jets fans are eager to want their team to move back to the city, specifically Queens. But the likelihood of that happening isn't good, especially when it comes to politics and how expensive it is to build sports venues in New York City. Think about how much both the current Yankee Stadium and Citi Field each cost before both opened in 2009. Imagine what it would cost today. If it were up to me, BOTH teams would be back within city limits instead of the Meadowlands. It was fun when they and the Nets were there, but we know New Jersey lost their NBA team to the city borough of Brooklyn (also a big waste). If either or both the Giants and Jets move back to New York City, I don't know if that will ever be within my lifetime. Look at how long it took to replace the previous Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium. Madison Square Garden will be 60 years old by 2028 and I'm not holding my breath it will be replaced anytime soon.
MSG had the large interior renovation back in the mid 2010s. The whole Penn Station rejuvenation project has put the MSG exterior renovations in limbo.
@@reverend_wintondupree Yup, I know. I really think Madison Square Garden needs to move a block west or go to Hudson Yards. Doubtful that will happen because more development is planned for the latter location.
