I am excited with what the Panthera team is doing. Bryce this year should be much improved with his improved Oline (although I am still a lil pissed thwy sent away DJ Moore). But $650 million in tax payer funds to renovate a stadium? A $700+ tax per person for every Charlottean seems a little steep, especially for a company led by the 93rd richest person on the planet ($20B).

Just build a new Stadium. This renovation will cost over a Billion Dollars and its nothing special. Look at other NFL Stadiums already built and in the process of being built. Titans*, Bills*, Jaguars*, Vikings, Rams, Falcons, Raiders, Cowboys and potentially Bears. Thats the level these Stadiums are at now
Lambeau Field is open stadium and has only had few adjustments and still top 5 NFL stadiums, so your statement is invalid.
The stadium does need a makeover, but I don't know why they don't move the stadium. Where it currently is, it will never have the infrastructure to host a Super Bowl or even a draft probably.
