Taleweaver would make a great bard oath and fit this whole instrument talents theme as well. There are also plenty of reasons it would fit in the lore, like the fact that there is an npc in miner's landing who calls himself a taleweaver, and that using instruments to harness the song just makes sense, also it would open up a whole new style of support rather than just the common linkstrider vow builds everyone runs. (I want Taleweaver real bad) Also song of lethargy wouldn't also break the trackstar meta because the main thing trackstars are known for is carrying their allies out of battle once they are knocked before they die. It would only really be useful if the trackstar is engaging in combat specifically.
when agamatsu talked about "oath paths" i immediatelly thought of taleweaver and how it could be a support path for visionshaper, but i don't think we're getting oath paths any time soon
They should just add good pvp high investment talents to the other stats like str, fort, will, int, ect to change the meta. This will only leave those who really only wanna run away to continue being trackstars, and they probably can't do much in ganks.
Your idea that ‘’Stops trackstars’’ literally only helps trackstarring. Because picture this, this debuff doesn’t apply to allies, so the guy I’m fighting and I are on 1 bar, he can call up his support friend to play an instrument to slow me at a distance and the dude I was fighting just EASILY escapes.
@@actualplastic2190 they really should do more with ritual casting, feels like an abandoned system and it would be really cool to see it more in the game
one flaw about the advanced card you suggested, something like shade devour is still a support mantra, and it is frequently used as a combat one, u could still damage your enemy while buffing up allies
Not really, imagine not being able to parry, only being able to sprint, roll, and play buff/debuff music, and cast support mantras, and trying to get close to an enemy who can do everything a normal player can, so you can sacrifice some hp to deal decent damage and risk being forced to stop playing
it could even be a suppot oath like linkstrider made to be pretty weak at actually fighting and give little to no combat advantage but would be good for guild ganks. i feel like the instruments should be a mantra casted ability taking a support slot so your not completely useless. it could work like sing but with a longer wind up and a much larger radius. and the songs that you pick could affect the buff or debuff given!
Doesnt this make the trackstar meta worse? Think about it this way. It's already hard to stop teamers from rescuing their teammates or running away and switching out when they get low. Now imagine of all the people teaming on you were all objectivley faster than you. This idea offers POTENTIAL counterplay, while essentially making deepwoken ganking significantly worse. Also those numbers are INSANE. A 20 PERCENT speed debuff? At FULL HEALTH? that's already crazy, but a 60 PERCENT speed debuff is literally unplayable. How are you supposed to defend yourself at less than half speed? It's literally a death sentence. No offence, but this is a pretty bad way of trying to deal with the trackstar meta. Usually if you have someone available to play support, you're the one who's trackstaring and running when low. So, if you're going to have an anti trackstar idea, make it something more accesible to all builds, like a murmour or a bell.
i fell it would be better if ironsing could create a trumpet, and depending on your attunement you can improve your music skill, like if you have gale the trumpet would be better or something like dat
they should add a rare care that involves playing songs with other players that boosts their tempo gain or ether regen like how grand support heals when used near allies.
Ok but why do all the talents have different requirements, if i want to be able to sprint i only need 55 but if i want to roll i need 65? Doesnt make much sence, if anything it could be a agility/charisma hybrid talent requirement, atleast for the movement based talents something small like 5 to 10 agility would honestly allow for more builds to get these talents pre shrine, seeing as most builds only go 55 charisma for chaotic charm
cool idea but if imma be fr it seems incredibly op considering most ganks have atleast 1 player unable to attack anyone who could just sit on the side and run with their increased range, I frame dodges like ghost / risky, then pop a immunity bell like run it back or yoru. unless the song weakens with extra players (which would still be hard to balance with randoms or 2 guilds ganking 1) i dont really see how they could balance this in a way that wouldnt make it a necessity to win ganks.
I don’t think this is a good idea just because the team playing the song can use this to run more effectively especially with all the movement buffs suggested aside the song ideas
I was kinda thinking of bard like in verdant moon where you can run too that would be cool but I feel like it is hard to add these talents cuz it will be hard to balance people will be mad that it sucks or that it is op either way imo it will be hard to find a middle ground for it
how are you suggest talents that let you run/dodge while playing a song, and then make charisma a requirement?? agility is clearly a better choice. also this should be an oath because holy shit I don't want everyone I fight to have a instrument up their ass to debuff me.
TOO OP FOR PVP because with this and linkstrider would make people SLOW and just be too op like throwing slow potion then played the music then linkstrider links will make this too op and bard oath would go fire like having something that music can scale with charisma to make it so people can use it but can't use it to the to the fullest or best like a saltchemist but having a bard oath would just mean more oaths and more support builds to go for (I DONT WANT TO KILL 4 PEOPLE EVERY TIME TO GET THE OATH IS ANNOYING AS FLIP)
I really don't understand this. In any case a 4v1 should in theory be almost impossible to fight against players of similar skill. It's a numbers advantage and that's just how number advantages work
@@aru-ch if you've ever played deepwoken before you will have been flooded by random guilds almost daily, when this happens it's super likely for you to win (if you're a better player) as reaper is tremendously busted. With this suggested change that takes it from difficult to literally impossible which is such a toxic idea, punishing people that already are at a disadvantage
I think the whole music thing is 100% possible, it just needs a few changes. Lets say if the bard was either doing 1 or both of these things the music buff/debuff would be reduced. 1: If the Bard's health is much lower than the average of the non ally players (example: Bard is 1 bar, the other player is say 4 bars, the music debuff is a lot less powerful) 2: If the Bard is far away from the non ally players, the debuff should be lessened (Same thing should also go for ally players) If you use one or the other you can make something decently useable with proper spacing (Not too close, not too far) without making it too powerful. Could have either one of the two (I prefer the first one though) or combine the both

i think it would be great to be slowed down severely while trying to run away from 10 max levels with legendary weapons as soon as i leave trial.
Honestly, great idea. Would love to see this in deepwoken
I think a talent or effect like tacet that lets you see the song range would be a good addition too
