I’m 65 and I remember in my poetry class in college, we studied the songs by The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Joni Mitchell as poetry. That stuck with me to this day. I believe that one day students will be analyzing this song and BTS songs as poetry. RM is an amazing poet.
Youjeen is the lead singer of Cherry Filter, a South Korean Rock Band, and RM had her in mind to sing on this song. And it's beautiful. This is one of my favorites from the album. You should check out his Tiny Desk Home concert. It's really good.
am not a bts fan but amazing song, lyrics and message fromyour soul in this journey so far..thank you RM. Wishing you peace in your heart, you have done so much for millions. you can rest now.
I was told in Korean the term is FIRE FLOWERS. Not fireworks. As for your question 8:08 It is a traditional Korea fireworks called Nakhwa Nori. Not CGI. A team of people who know how to handle the Nakhwanori had to be brought to Seoul and he mentioned some of the high heat on his face that he was struggling with during filming. "'Nakhwa' is a Korean word that has the double meaning of falling flowers and falling flames. 'Nori' is a Korean word that means games, festivals, and enjoyment of the scenery. This traditional Korean fireworks festival is also called 'Julbul Nori'. 'Julbul' is the Korean word for string and fire. [...] Nakhwa Nori is a ceremony that is usually done on water, such as rivers or lakes. A paper bag filled with tree bark powder is hung from a tree limb, a roof peaks off the edge of a building, or a riverbank cliff. When the bag is set on fire, the charcoal inside burns away, producing tiny flames all around. The spectacle looks like flames flying across the river, giving rise to its name, Nakhwa Nori, or falling flames." (Source: KollektionK)
he had a tradition firework team for this mv that’s what y’all were asking about btw they are traditional fireworks and he explained it was all natural and no editing was used for those shots
@@rzih8563 you can see the whole crew member, company name of that fire work show in the description of this mv..they dont need to tell lie..lmao..they got enough tech n money to do that..its a fpv drone used in there too
all the fireworks were real, during the full moon and for buddha's birthday a display of korean traditional fireworks is given. the fireworks on the rope is called 'nakhra nori'. the song was totally beautiful and amazing.
The fireworks that you see at @7:42 are Traditional Korean Fireworks(not CG). Back when they had dynasties they would hang those up above water and light them.
That fireworks are called Nac-haw-nol-i, traditional korean fire works meaning falling flower play. He said he went to the firework preservation to use it in his MV. I'm korean n i never heard of it;;;
It hits hard, every lyric, every beat & every melody pierced my heart ❤ And Youjeen's Raw & powerful vocals was amazzzzzzzing. The fireworks are real it's a traditional korean fireworks (Maybe HYBE will drop the making of the MV soon) As always just so proud of Namjoon And Cho Youjeen is the vocalist of the Rock band Cherry Filter she got some pipes... 💜💜💜Borahae💜💜💜
The fireworks reminds me of pyrotechnics at concerts, the flash of paparazzi and fans and there the idols are stuck in the middle. It’s a reminder how overwhelming the life of an idol can be, the limelight can be like a huge terrifying beautiful monster
It makes so much sense now, flowerworks and wildflowers are the two sides of the same coin. The flowerworks is the beautiful terrifying monster known as the limelight, and the other side is the wildflower, his touchstone to sanity. It makes sense that he loves nature, bike riding and museums, they ground him and lets him exhale.
About this song pure poetry is talking about he is famous now but he wont be losing apart of herself because now everybody know him but in the same time he wanna be herself and bts they started like little people known them so is like to nobodt to be one on the best group of kpop
The last thing that shines, are some bags of gunpowder that are lit on a special day in Korea... it is a great spectacle and when floating in the air they give the appearance of floating flowers. They are different scenes and amazing feelings in this song ,, RM I LOVE YOU 😍
Fireworks were all natural. No editing in those shots. Obviously done by a professional crew. Not surprised by that they tend to try do most things naturally.
Indigo is a masterpiece album, from start to finish, each song is meant to be where it is. Wild flower is the second to last song and it really feels like the emotions in the album explode with this song, the perfect outlet. I don't know if you've done it yet, but you should definitely listen to indigo from start to finish, to get the full experience. ♥
Babes in that part of the music video where you asked to let yall know if it’s real fireworks or something else, it’s actually “ Nakhwa nori “ if you type it in google you can see the images and it’s so so beautiful.
I just realised why its called flower work. Fireworks go up in the sky and explode and disappear. Flowers stay on the ground, grounded and they flourish and last. Is that burning timeline?
Namjoon is a genius, a poet. Ele é um gênio, um poeta! Youjeen - Cherry Filter (체리 필터) is a South Korean Alternative Rock group formed in 1997 fronted by the female singer Youjeen.
Fireworks burst up in the sky grandly and exciting to look at but eventually they fade out/away graciously, but you can still walk among the fields of Flowers 🌺 like a Flowerwork bursting on Earth under your feet grounded. The genius and poetic mind of RM, this whole album is just Amazing! 😯🤯💿👏🏽🕺🎶🎤👑🥇🏆♾️ #RM #INDIGO #WILDFLOWER #ARMYWITHLUV
this song makes me just...my hands are shaking, my heart clenching I do want to input something that just makes the experience so much more. Namjoon said that he feels like BTS IS LIKE FIREWORKS, but he himself just wishes to be a WILD FLOWER. His place is in a flower field. Now this just makes the lyrics open up inside my heart. At the start he says it, really, but now that he's said it I realize his words : "Flower fields, that's where I'm at". "Burning firework to flowerworks" from bts' rm to just rm, he's taking off those first clothes now that they choose this to be their next chapter. "I'll stay in this barren field" Didn't realize I was holding my breath. but then "ah i'll return someday".

Nice reaction! Three points of clarification: 1) No CGI in the fireworks. Fireworks were used in East Asia for hundreds of years before Marco Polo brought them back with him. Koreans have their own traditions; 2) Since your reactions are largely limited to performance & aesthetics, it seems you don't strongly differentiate BTS from K-pop. BTS members are artists who express themselves in their own lyrics, music, production & choreo. This song was written by RM and is about him; 3) You were confused by the contrast between sad lyrics & the fireworks, but ironic juxtapositions are common in cultural forms
Hey guys, I just happened to click on your vid. I don't know if you plan to react to BTS more, but just in this case, RM has tons of interviews, articles, theres and official on on Bangtan TV the BTS youtube channel explaining this song and the other songs on his album, Indigo. Take this with a grain of salt, but hearing you just react to his "lyrics" and "how pretty he is" is a given. But it would do you both a world of good to dive deep into why he wrote this, what he and BTS were going through the last few years, and it will explain why this song "sounded sad." RM is so much more than just a rapper, he is an artist. As well as BTS' music. I think you both have just seen and heard the tip of the iceberg. But ARMY are so fiercely loyal for a reason, and maybe you can research on them a bit more as people and creatives, and not just react to what you see on the surface.
This song is about a young woman who was born into a life of hardship and struggle that resulted into trauma. This woman has the weight of the world, her world on her back but still displays a unique grace and beauty to the man singing the song about her. He adores her, admires her, pities her and wants to save her. He's observing from a point of view from a man who wants this woman romantically but she may be too occupied with surviving to notice. He wants to be her escape. The part that says (Becareful how you you touch her, she will awaken, sleeps the only freedom she knows) that implies that he can't just approach her like he would any other woman, he has to proceed with caution so he won't trigger her or push her away before he gets the chance to love her, as he intends. This is a poem, a love letter, if you will to a young lady who is paying for a debt she never owed. Her beauty transcends the physical, her beauty in her soul is what this song is really about. After everything she's been through , she's still a free and gentle flower.
