Wildflower is one of my favourite songs of the year. Easy top 5. Rm has a way of turning feelings into words into art. This song takes you on a journey through the deepest corners of your soul, making you face the good and bad. At the end you come out the other end a little more free.

i understand what you mean but i don’t think it was just to please an easygoing audience! i really just think they wanted to make easygoing songs to cheer us up during the pandemic. like even butter has army in the song n no general audience would really know what army means unless they’re somewhat familiar or they’re part of the fandom. those songs still feel personal imo bc i know they were trying to reach us in a way that made us feel better :)
exactly. like, every time an “army” says that i just get 😵💫, cause they’ve always said that dynamite-butter-permission to dance were short songs-easy going projects to cheer us up during a hard perdido of time. so, to say that those are songs they didn’t “want” to make really makes no sense

Everyone enjoyed it differently, I liked the songs but I know that BTS music usually conveys a bigger message or tells an amazing story through their creativity and art. No need to “army” anyone :)
@@DifferentlyAlike oh, of course! it’s not to start an argument or something, but what they said is that after a period of time they didn’t know what stories to tell anymore. that before they had a lot to tell and not the polished skills and now that they’ve perfected their craft, it’s not so much to tell; that’s why after mots7 era they were going to start with the solo projects/military. they continued to say that dynamite came to them in a time that was needed and they wanted to do it; same with butter and ptd. what im trying to say is that they have control of what they do; if they didn’t felt like doing “generic pop” as you said, im sure they wouldn’t done it. that’s why i love them, cause i know they’ve been true with us since the beginning. keep up with the reactions! you guys are great!
I can’t help but cry every time. Thank you for your perspective on RM and BTS. I was a bit frustrated when they released Permission To Dance following Dynamite and Butter. In their 10 years of career, they ONLY freaking made 3 English songs... it's okay if you don't want to listen to it as much, they have more than 200+ songs to listen to but feel frustrated for what?? Yes I agree with you that before they have been releasing song for BTS as a group but now the songs we are getting is their own made, what they feel and what is their own true colour and specially as this point of time when bts is facing many things regarding all the military enlistment and stuff. It's not the best time right now but still one of the most beautiful time as well. Members are leaving slowly but before leaving they are giving are the best music out there coming from their heart. Each one of their albums show their true colours jhope with his jack in the box, Jin with The Astronaut and now RM with INDIGO. Not trying to be biased but Indigo is a album that has a left a mark on my heart now that I can never forget this. RM really made us emotional throughout the entire album and each song shows emotions that he was feeling and we as armies can also relate to it as well. This has been the most beautiful journey so far and I can't wait for the other members as well to come out with their albums and show what they have. Finally, a reaction that mentioned Alanis Morissette - that was my instant impression of Youjeen's voice on this song. Parts of it sound just like Alanis - not just the style but the texture of her voice. Interesting that Youjeen and Alanis are contemporaries age-wise. I was so surprised to see Youjeen in an interview about this song - she looks so delicate, I never would've expected that voice to come belting out of her. It's just perfect for this track.

I'm so sorry but maybe the reason you've been on and off with bts is that you're now mostly following so many other groups because what you're thinking is not entirely true. they only did 3 eng songs and it's not like they didn't want to do that, they didn't expect dynamite to become a hit. yes, mots7 was the last thing they had to say before going on tour and enlisting/starting their solo era but bc of the change of plans they released "BE" to talk abt what they were going through and wanted to cheer us up with dynamite. bts never stopped releasing music that comes from their heart just because they have 3 fun Eng songs doesn't erase BE or proof. 3 songs that some ppl might not like bcuz of different taste don't remove all those Korean songs they released at the same time. They were under pressure abt military service while being burnt out, and their carefully planned future was ruined by covid. Everything they've done these past few years was unplanned, not unwanted. They literally released a heartfelt ballad for their last title track. that's bangtan that's versatility right there.

The trio of English tracks did not carry the same feelings that makes BTS so special and why they have so many fans, that can't be denied tbh. Are they bad songs, no ofc not, but to expect a fan to suddenly like that kind of music and stay turned on to BTS because BTS suddenly release it, is just plain wrong. No one should ever be made to feel bad for disliking a song.
it's not about just disliking a song, it's about disrespecting the artist and putting words in their mouth - according to what they actually said during their festa dinner, the 3 english songs were unplanned, not unwanted. bts wanted to release them at the time because they felt it was right. as sort of a layover until they had a story to tell again. now, everybody has the right to like or dislike the songs, but to pretend like > now dictate bts' whole present and future musical direction, which actively ignores a full korean album of standard emotional bts songs which dynamite is on, is just disrespectful and not something an army would typically want to say. that is what the comments are talking about and are fairly pointing out, there's no "copium" present.

I also love longer songs and the new change to radio-friendly 3min songs is the biggest disappointments, especially when it come to BTS storytelling.

No one should ever be made to feel bad for disliking a song.
it's not about just disliking a song, it's about disrespecting the artist and putting words in their mouth - according to what they actually said during their festa dinner, the 3 english songs were unplanned, not unwanted. bts wanted to release them at the time because they felt it was right. as sort of a layover until they had a story to tell again. now, everybody has the right to like or dislike the songs, but to pretend like > now dictate bts' whole present and future musical direction, which actively ignores a full korean album of standard emotional bts songs which dynamite is on, is just disrespectful and not something an army would typically want to say. that is what the comments are talking about and are fairly pointing out, there's no "copium" present.
