I have the 613 and I personally love how short it is. The shortness of it is definitely not for everyone but I've always been into short length leather jackets. The jacket was super stiff when I first got it but now it's fitting "like a glove" (Ace Ventura? lol). Every time I move I get that leather sound and even though it's pretty stiff and snug to your body/arms, it totally moves freely with me without any restraint. Either way I can't wait until it's fully worn in and gets that nice leather patina. 613 is the way to go!
Yea i leave mine down at the shop so people can put it on , no one ever believes its the same jacket as the new ones. I love the length too ... took a second to get used to the style , but its so great on and off the bike. thanks for checking out the video
@@AA-ex5fg It took me a couple months to break through the stiffness. But you have to wear it a lot and then it'll form to your movements and body shape. Winter is coming (Game of Thrones?) so now's a time to start wearing it.

i have a 39.5 chest and wear the 40 , youd probably be the 38, at 5'9 i think the 36 would be really tiny I think i got the 38 in yesterday , ill be putting that stock on the site today

As a short guy who has a bigger Santa Clause belly than chest, what do you recommend on sizing? I’m thinking 613 because it’s shorter and I’m only 5’6 (246 lbs), but my chest is 48, waist at belly button is 51, and my actual waist is 46. The Schott website says I should go with a 50 but I’m afraid with it being labeled as a slimmer fit it might not zip up? Thoughts?
Realistically with your dimensions you'd want to do with something more custom from say a langlitz or someone like them . size 50 with your height will probably be too long in the sleeves and huge in the shoulders to fit your mid section. Fitting to your shoulders and chest you'll probably end up with the mid section too small. Custom costs more , but sometimes its the best option for the right jacket

Hey man u said uve had ur 613 for 6-7 years in the video have u done any conditioning to it in that time? If so what product do u use? Also has it been in the rain/snow much? Im asking cuz im getting a perfecto and wanna know realistically what properly caring for it should look like. Some say to condition it regularly, some dont do anything. What do u do?
My Schott Ive worn fro years in all conditions , Were super wet in the winter so my jacket has been exposed to A LOT of rain days .. and i haven't done anything to it, Now i could use something like the canadian bee seal to freshen it up .. but quality leathers don't need to be treated as much as a lot of people think. that said its all personal preference . i just avoid mink oil on jackets.
Thanks for ur help. Also i just got my perfecto a couple days ago. Was gonna return it for a different size but today just realized its actually my right size it just feels tight and rigid cuz its not broken in yet. So while i was trying to determine whether this jacket fit me right, i was doing the whole stretching my arms out doing the hug test etc. i did that quite a lot during the first day i got the jacket. I then noticed that the seam holes where the bi swing back area of the jacket is were protruding out meaning they were more visible then originally. I guess that means i stretched the seam holes a bit and therefore weakened the seam holes. Is that the case in your opinion and if so, do you think its a cause for concern or is it not a big deal so long as i stop overly stretching the jacket now. I understand pics would be very helpful so if u need to see pics id be more than happy to send them.
Don’t buy the 519… i have had almost 20 schott leather jackets right now i have a 613 and it’s perfect. the biggest problem with the 519 it’s that the cowhide will turn light grey very very fast when worn riding in the sun, and it will really suck… the 519 smells and feels great when new but will fade horrible the 613 will break up nice and will develop a super cool patina over time
they both have a quilted lining, warmth is really going to depend on what you layer with. layer proper and anything can keep you warm as long as your outer layer protects from the elements
I'm 6'1" 185 ish , hard to say , would all depend on your body shape if it would fit , best bet is to measure your jacket and when i have new stock and get the measurements back up on the site compare your measurements to that

probably a 42 , but I don't carry the 626 so I'm not sure but thats usually how the sizing matches

it’s absolute spot on the 613 will feel snug tight and stiff when new but will grow on you and become like a second skin
