From what I believe, there was a 1:1.5 ratio between waist and chest and a 1:2 ratio between waist and hips. But no one ever squeezed their guts to get to that ratio. It was very minimally done, if at all. Instead, if women wanted to get that ratio between hips, chest, and waist, they would simply put padding on their hips and chest.
