@gabrielreesemobilemechanic thanks, I have a 2017 Silverado, I installed a range technology afm delete and do 3500 mile oil changes, hopefully this is effective
@gabrielreesemobilemechanic yes they work 100% it will keep the motor in v8 mode, and to go back to "stock" just unplug it from the obd2 port. My experience it will also make the vehicle shift smoother.
Why can't great mechanics call it what it is!? It's an ENGINE! The heater has a motor. Combustion engines run on petroleum, heater motors run on electricity! The lead teacher of the automotive school I went to in 1969 told his classes. If you call this piece of equipment a motor, I will give you a F on your grade! Just sayin!😂
I am blown away by your knowledge. So amazing. Words cannot express fully. Wow.
I agree so much!!!
Howany miles?
140,000 miles

@@paulcondie2520that’s the best you can do sir
Less likely to happen when AFM is disabled. I hate GM for doing this to those motors.
Yes, I agree. I believe they introduced this in 2007 or 2008.
A 5.3 LS pre-AFM is priceless
@gabrielreesemobilemechanic i have a 2015 Yukon denali with the 6.2, i bought a Range dongle to disable it technically.
@@oSTYNCLSYodoes that work? I haven’t read much into electronically disabling AFM

I like using synthetic MOTOR oil in my engines. Except for my motorcycles with wet clutches where I use 15W-40 diesel MOTOR oil.
Who cares? Call it whatever you want.
Calm down guy, you know what I mean lol
