Corbina are actually the shallowest parts of the water. I use waders when targeting other fish but these elusive fish are found right at the shoreline. If you are in the water you will spook them!
@@SbsurfanglerI'm inclined to agree. They're so close it's frustrating; bumping into my feet! Absolute behemoths almost beaching themselves. I had two chances to barehand some today. I almost think a hand net and spear might land more fish haha so crazy this summer down in Carlsbad, San Diego. It's a corbina bananza, and I can't catch any 😅 (help me, ima bout to start tossing dynamite)
@@KyleDixon88I’m working on some epic Corbina fishing footage.. the best advice i can give is to stay dedicated and patient. Corbina are very frustrating fish to catch, lots of missed strikes and spooks. I miss several opportunities before i actually hook up
Santa Barbara waters in July you dont need no waders, its nice down there compared to Guadalupe Beach, Oceano and Pismo Beaches up north aways from SB.
Waiters and stand in that 2nd breakline...throw farther...more fish for sure

2nd break line puts past all the fish. I sight fish them from 5-15 back from waters edge.
