I know Stevie doesn't see it this way but when he cranked bradshaw with the chair shot later on in this storyline it was one of the best "Ride or die" moments in wrestling history, i like to see it as a friend giving someone a receipt for hurting their friend. Everyone's over it now its water under the bridge but its a very feels good moment to watch the chairshot happen

I remember Matt Striker did a shoot interview talking about this. Him and JBL were supposed to meet up for some confrontation. Striker saw it as him showing up to take his beating, but JBL, believing he was showing up for a fight, started giving him respect. None of us have ever been a part of that locker room so we'll never really know. Maybe JBL is just a bully for no reason, maybe he saw it as forcing outsiders to earn respect. It probably depends on who you ask.
One thing I'll give to JBL, he took his ass kickings. He let Stevie destroy him with that chair shot. Personally I think he got drunk at One Night Stand and worked himself into a shoot. He knew he screwed up.
I may be biased because I've been a fan of Meanie for yeaaars, but he looked all the better for that little altercation.
