- It has been a while since I last travelled & I almost forgot how to pack! To be honest, I was definitely a bit nervous going on this work trip to London via Dubai, despite being double vaccinated. It seems like no amount of mask, face shield, and hand sanitiser can ease the nerves of flying for the first time in almost 2 years!
It was a bit bizarre landing in London, realising people here are extremely relaxed about masks and life is proceeding as it was pre-COVID times! Pubs and streets were filled to the brim with people on the weekends - it felt surreal. I'm definitely still being cautious while I'm here to avoid catching anything, but it does feel really nice to be able to go out for a walk without wearing a mask! I hope this video can shed more light on the process of doing pre-departure tests and forms, the actual flight itself, and what the UK looks like right now 😊

You’ll love London! The grilled cheese at borough market is exceptionally delicious. I’d really recommend trying the lobster roll at burger & lobster, high tea at either Fortnum & mason (unlimited food refills) or The Landmark london, spitalfields market for hipster vibes and more good food.
Walking along the south side of the river from southbank to bermondsey is also quite scenic. The view from greenwich conservatory is really beautiful (on a nice day).
Liberty London is a very very historic department store with wooden interiors and is very iconic. Great shopping there too. For souvenirs, fortnum & masom has good champagne truffles and pretty tea packaging (although the tea is pretty standard 😂).
Covent Garden and its adjacent seven dials area is the type of place to go when you need a coffee and cake break.

Hey Sherry, welcome to London! I'd recommend going to Greenwich for a chill day, the Royal Observatory is there in the park and if the weather is nice it has a stunning sunset view. There's markets on the weekend too :) enjoy~

@@sherrybyw Borough market is one of the main well known markets in London. It can get busy though!
@@sherrybyw It's just a small market there, definitely Borough market or Spitalfields is bigger! But Greenwich has other things that make it worth a visit like the National Maritime musuem, Old Naval College and of course, Greenwich park. I do recommend! ❤️
FYI, Emirates A380 J class has an HDMI port for an inflight external monitor if you need to do work!

OMG you're in my hometown woo hoo !!!!! I've been watching your videos for some time and love them. I hope you get to enjoy this great city. Pro tip walk along the Thames North or South Side from Big Ben (Westminister) to Tower Bridge and you'll see a lot of London that way and the walk is very enjoyable with things to see on both sides. Go up the Sky Garden (if it's open) you need to book a ticket but it is free and you'll get some of the very best views of London..... You won't be disappointed. Rent a Boris bike (They are the ones that have Santander on the side) there are docking stations everywhere and you just need a credit card.

Was in Europe this summer and now back in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), and I laugh when I saw your comment about European not wearing face masks outdoor 😅 don’t get use to it too much ahah. It’s hard to put on your mask all the time after being kind of free from it hehe 😉

So you have relocated to London now?
I reckon hiring a 'Boris bike' is the best way to go site seeing around London anyway(will be an experience in itself). You can cycle along the river to Westminster and Southbank then into the West end - Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park etc. Camden market and Brick Lane are cool places to visit too.
Can try Brixton cycles if you want some trendy london cycling kit or Sigma Sports if you want all the high end bikes and gear. Enjoy!
Is Boris bike the same as Santander?
@@guestuser8232 Yes it is. The Prime Minister Boris brought the bikes in when he was Mayor of London so they are commonly known as Boris bikes.

@@sherrybyw Italian Barcaro or Sushi54 on Lower Richmond road. Megan in Wimbledon village (most likely need to book in advance), White Onion and Patara in the village. Gazette and Pata Negra in Putney. The Boat House or the Palm Riverside Along the River. Worth a trip across the bridge to The Ivy at some point. I also recommend the train from Putney to New Malden which has the largest Korean population outside of Korea and the US, the high street has a good selection of restaurants.

And serious apologies about the UK - we are useless when it comes to putting in any effort beyond normal daily activity, hence 30k infections per day. COVID has shown us to be lazy and selfish.
