    I’ve been waiting for this video to drop!! Ordered my A9 on preorder and I can tell you I did a 46 mile round trip and ended up pedaling with a dead battery until I could find a place to let me charge.
    Battery has HUGE voltage sag once it gets around 50%. Rode to my sisters house about 23 miles, PAS5 and pedaling the whole time. Yes I rode it at top speed but even with my pedaling I was at 56% battery once I got there. On the return trip home voltage sag kept lowering output, top speed dropped from 43mph down to 38, then 33, then 28, eventually 10mph and it kept going.
    Battery percentage kept dropping by a few points at a time until I got around 44% at which I was pedaling and getting no assist from the motors. I stopped about 3 miles from home and was able to find a store that let me plug my charger in, and I finally got home a couple hours later.
    I only made it 43 miles on a 46 mile loop. Just to let people know the specs on this bike look impressive but be careful, battery loss is fast and 50% does NOT mean you’ve got 1/2 the range left as I found out the hard way.
    Matt also you didn’t post the 0-20 time on the video, but I feel like this thing doesn’t have the 203nm torque they show on the website. For a supposed 1800 watt motor I would think it would easily handle your 20% grade but you had to engage both motors to get up that incline. Seems better on paper than real world and too bad they were not helpful when I asked for help from customer service. Bike could be great but they need to work out some bugs and maybe change the claims they are making on the website.

      Fascinating. I have not experienced your battery results. I live in a VERY hilly part of the Southeastern US and my weekend bike rides on e-bikes are usually around 80-95 miles. Maintaining a speed of ~34mph I was able to complete my e-bike route with around 38% left. I did not charge the bike overnight and rode around my house the following day for another 31 miles at an average speed of 24mph and ended up at around 12%. For those keeping tally, that’s pushing 130 miles of range of throttle only in a VERY hilly part of the country- we literally have no flats here. I have every belief that I could have eked another 20 miles out of the remaining 12%, which would put the bike at 150 miles of throttle only riding from 24-34 mph. I know on my bike you can go into advanced settings and change motor output and a whole Hellouva lot of different settings. My settings had every single item at its minimum. In this video, on the incline test, I’m 100% positive I’d go up that with a single motor. My driveway is steeper and longer than that and I can climb it, accelerating the whole way, on one motor. The bike blasts up it using both. I can’t help but wonder if in this video the advanced settings were set to minimum like mine were. Early in the video TailHappyTV couldn’t figure out how to enter the advanced settings menu and seemingly gave up- they never touched on this again. You can adjust motor load cut-out, general load cut-out, and things like voltage allowance in advanced settings and his incline climb look like those settings were set to minimum. My advanced settings are max everything.
      I can’t explain why your range is what it is. I’ve done my typical e-bike routes multiple times with this bike with nearly identical results each time. I might look in to requesting a battery exchange. If some of your battery cells were faulty, your range could be affected and if enough cells are faulty then the motors can’t pull their full amperage from the battery, which will negatively affect power output.
      I have a Frey Beast that uses the Bafang Ultra M620 that’s “overclocked” by Frey to run at 60v instead of 52v and it has an advertised 170Nm of torque. The Frey Beast is about 80lbs, so almost half the weight of the A9. With my wife on the Frey and myself on the A9, I can out accelerate her from a stop with just one motor engaged on the A9 by about 30%. The distance between our two bikes at the end of a 200m finish line is roughly equivalent to the advertised torque differences. The torque numbers seem pretty much spot on to me. With both motors engaged on the A9, it’s so much faster than the Frey that it’s not even exciting to see.
      I’d see if Aniioki would do a battery swap. It seems to me like something is going on other than Aniioki fudging some specs.

      @@Unkn0wnC0mmand wow so interesting. I would love to know which settings you changed. I have no problem, accessing the advance settings and I’ve changed the power output for each of the gears to give me a little more finesse when I’m writing, but this problem happened before I made any changes in the advance menu. If you’re willing to share the changes you made I’d love to try them and see if that helps because Like I said, the acceleration is pretty weak. The torque does not feel like it would pull me up a steep hill and the battery voltage sag was real. I would love to get the kind of range you’re talking about because I don’t mind spending a few hours in the saddle on a weekend, but I need to feel confident the bike will get me home..

      @Unkn0wnC0mmand Місяць тому +4

      @erikschranz2972 i could list settings line-item and spend an hour doing so but I think you have a faulty battery with multiple dead cells. Your comment is a classic representation of a battery with multiple dead cells affecting range and power.
      The "sag" you're explaining is when the controller/computer thinks that there are cells available that have died. In other words it thinks that there are 100 cells available when there are actually like 70 available, big chunks of percentage will go off suddenly, top speed will go down, motors will feel underpowered, etc. For these high amperage motors to output peak power, each battery contributes to the amperage. Imagine each battery cell contributed 1 amp. If you had 30 dead cells out of 100, the most the motors could pull would be 70 amps while the controller thinks it's pulling 100. Then when the controller sees its at 70 amps, it adjusts the percentage of battery remaining because it thinks these dead cells are empty instead of dead. Then the process keeps repeating as other batteries deplete, that explains why your top speed is changing as the posted battery percentage decreases.
      I'm telling you, every word of your post indicates a faulty battery with multiple dead cells.

    Love it!! If Texas were an E-bike it definitely would be going faster than 43 mph, just saying. As a former trucker driver, I've driven the 405 in Cali, among other California traffic nightmares. The equivalent in Texas are the highway systems to get around the DFW metroplex, or the Houston metroplex. Honestly, Cali has nothing on the DFW traffic. A close second would be Atlanta traffic. My point? In Texas, if you can't keep up with traffic in DFW, it's not a suitable E-bike. You have to be able to battle against beastly turbo diesel trucks that don't care for smaller vehicles. In Texas, the pickup truck is king. If I were living in a smaller city like Waco, Amarillo, and the like, this E-bike would be perfect. Sometimes, I just want an E-bike with a rack on the back to make a beer run, or trip to the market. I don't need to drive a car or truck to go a few blocks. This would be perfect if the price point could come down. Thanks for the review. I have to say, I'm smitten with this E-bike. But not $3900 worth of smitten. 😃😃😃😃

    A 45 MPH top speed and a 200 mile range?? That's awesome. At a 200 mile range, I could take this bike on long rides anywhere and leave my car at home. I could also see myself using this bike more than I do my car getting around town and I wouldn't have to worry about range anxiety because a 200 mile range will take me anywhere and I could ride around the city as much as I wanted to. I also love the fact that it can carry up to 400 pounds and that myself being 300 pounds is no problem for this bike. I'm definitely considering one of these next year when it gets warm enough to ride again here in the northeast.

    • @ItzYeetinTime
      @ItzYeetinTime Місяць тому +1

      Well that 200 miles range is probably at 15 mph or lower, 45mph could probably get you about 30-20 miles, I'm not a expert at measuring range with speed but going 45 mph would surely drain the battery pretty quick so that 200 miles range isn't what you would expect it to be

    • @GrnArrow092
      @GrnArrow092 Місяць тому

      @@ItzYeetinTime I'd be happy if I can get 100 miles on a charge with this bike. I wouldn't have to worry about range anxiety like I do with my Aventon Aventure. My Aventure gets at best 25 miles on a charge. There's been a couple of times when I've been on my way home where my battery is nearly dead. The A9 Pro Max would get me to wherever I want to go and have more than enough power left to see me home. I can still see myself using it more than my car.

    • @faYte0607
      @faYte0607 28 днів тому

      Using range as a selling point is very inaccurate as there isn't an industry standard that these companies need to abide by. 200 mile range is probably using single front motor only and going 5mph. Unless there's an industry standard for these claims, I wouldn't base your purchase decision on range. Now, realistically, this bike will go 60 miles on a single charge from 100% down to 20% battery, throttle only and going 30-45mph (in other words, street riding like any other cars). How do I know? I own the A8 DM which uses the same battery and this is the range I'm getting. Now, are there other ebikes in the road with this speed and range, and a decent customer service? Not sure, and definitely not the Eahora. Wired ebikes perhaps?

    Did this dude just use a hammer drill to tighten the stem cap 😳
    Bro 3lbs of torque! Which is barley hand tight
    I’ve got just under 1,000 miles on my A9 the chain is 3-4 links too long. Any bumps at stock length and chain comes off. After taking 3 links out it still comes off with big bumps. The low beam is more useable than the high beam. I weight 225-230 and the suspension stock was way too stiff. And no anyone under 6’2” isn’t riding this bike. I can hit 44mph on flat road. I use this to Uber Eats deliver daily, and average about 70 miles per charge ( trying to keep battery above 25% as under 50% it falls extremely quickly) the drag style handle bars cause excessive wrist fatigue. Swapping to a bmx style with some back sweep made a huge difference. The knobbies wash out in turns, I’ve got some Innova Lizard Skin coming to swap over to. To disable cruise control hold the left button down and it enters the settings.
    I’ve found I get better mileage in PAS 3 and dual blue for take off from the line and then single rear ( single front the speedometer doesn’t work for me ever. I see it working in the video, maybe a later firmware ) that gives the best take offs and range. The power meters don’t “work” as even in single motor both are registering draw. Dual green is full power, and eats through battery fast!
    Personally I wouldn’t take this off rode

After they sent me new ones everything was going great Till the motor magnets in the rear motor came loose. Waiting on a replacement still. I got this bike to commute to work it is 80 miles round trip. Made 2 trips to work and that is when the rear motor started making funny noises. They had me send a video of it which I did riding it, which is the only time it is making noise if there is a load on it. They came back and said put down the kickstand and raise the back tire. I told them already that it does not make noise if the tire is off the ground. But I sent it anyways, and now I’m currently waiting for a motor two weeks later.

    Another point I want to make for anyone looking to buy their first eBike. Pay attention to the riders physique and what they complain about. If a 200 lb 6' 5" man tells you the eBike is heavy and they are concerned about it falling over then it most likely will not be a comfortable eBike for someone like myself who is 5' 7" and 145 lbs. I bought the Wallke H9 AWD not realizing that the weight of the bike was going to be a serious concern for me and my safety riding on the road with vehicles. I bought the front 22Ah battery for the front as well so when I receive it I will use only the front battery for work and then switch out to the 60 Ah battery for long distant rides. Ultimately, I will rent out the bike or sell it while I look for a new eBike that isn't so heavy.

    People expect higher priced ebikes to have better quality materials--this is not the case. Usually, the premium you pay is for higher speeds. Components usually stay the same as a $500 ebike. What you're essentially paying for is the company's motor/controller/battery combo that can get you to 45-50mph right out the factory. Otherwise, to get that speed or range, you're gonna have to build your own.

      probably better tbh, these companies basically have dogcrap chinese grade batteries with big capacities that dont hold up over time or high speed riding. reviewers do us a disservice by not calling this out. go with a bike with verified premium japanese or korean cells. there u can actually look up the battery spec sheet.

    thanks for the review, i love these bikes key thing they can buck you off in dual mode, if you pull levers slightly too hard, it also the case if you suddenly switch gear while throttle is engaged too. plus the throttle has lock mode so if you want more safety id swap out the throttle for an half bar then buy then a spare lever kit, that's like 45, then 150 this how much extra it cost me for my a8. also i learned if you back track the blinkers you could wire in some front blinkers in the front of your a8 but no kit exists for the a8 to get the front blinkers, so if you know some wiring its a must to add front blinkers yourself, also the only repair shop is in NY city.
    last major note, my bike threw me off once when the breaks locking up then the throttle glitched stayed in on mode so this is the only con to the bike i found by accident so far, lastly i had ended up with an sprained leg for an week while i am glad i didn't beak bones.

    i bought the AQ duel drive version 1000w rear 750w front, wish it had turn signal indicator on the screen and front turn signals and that it was made of aluminum my frame came scratched and is rusting at 1500 miles and it only hits 29mph but is advertised at 33, 4 mph is meaningful at these speeds. it also does not save drive settings, i go into settings and set the drive settings to front and rear drive but when i turn the bike off and turn it back on it goes back to rear drive so i have to change it every time i start the bike "real irritating". the head light is awesome, all ebike tires suck, get scooter tires when you order your bike unless you enjoy fixing flats. the battery is pretty awesome i drive about 28 miles and it only loses about 1-2 mph. i really recommend an aluminum framed bike this thing is just stupid heavy.

    Laws in USA need to change. If the government wants people to get a license plate for e-bikes that go over 28 mph, fine. Right now there's no way to get a plate for this type of bike. It's also causing unnecessary design of chain and pedals that don't even help propel the device.

    I bought an Aniioki Bike from Amazon almost a month ago and it stopped working in two weeks, at the middle of the traffic while i had my kid on child seat. We could be die since it is impossible to ride the bike with the pedals. Luckily all traffic stopped.
    The seller doesn’t accept return since I don’t have original box although it is their fault. I offered to drop it myself since they are 30mins away but they didn’t accept to push me not to return. Then i packaged it with moving blankets, two layers of cardboards and stretch film however they didn’t like it. Therefore my attorney will go to court for a case now.
    They think they can scam people with their cheap quality in United States.
    Don’t risk your life with this bike.

Personally they would be a good delivery vehicle ,but can't say they would be good for leisure riding because of the weight of the bike ! Most people who buy these probably won't pedal them much because of its power , its all about personal choice :)
