Exclusive Look Inside CDC NSW’s Northmead Bus Depot. I was filming a video at Northmead depot for my bus depot walkaround series, when I was confronted by staff from the depot. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to enter the yard under supervision to have a look at the decommissioned (and maybe soon-to-be scrapped) ex-Forest Coachlines’ Volvo B10Ms, including a Forest liveried Custom Coaches 510/516. This is one of my highlight bus experiences of 2023, and I’ve decided to share it with you all. 2023 has brought some awesome content and experiences to this channel, and hopefully 2024 will do just the same!

To clear up any confusion, when I was filming, I was walking with a staff member who was supervising me, and the depot manager had told the staff member that I could enter the depot then-and-there to take photos of the Forest buses I wanted to see.

How good is it that you could actually access the depot yard. I encourage you to enter the depots and go to administration and ask permission to film while in the yard. Quite often when they know you are an enthusiast they will allow it and you might even have someone give you a tour of the depot. Wear a high vis vest which shows them you are safety conscious. If they say no then you go to the gate and film. Just a suggestion. Good luck and have a great day.
