[4K] Riding 5 bus routes that will be withdrawn when Sydney Metro extends to Sydenham!

- The 200, 259, 294, 602X and 619 bus routes will be withdrawn when the Sydney Metro extends up to Sydenham by the 4th of August 2024. So, I got on those 5 routes before it gets withdrawn.

This is excellent information. I love the 259 bus ( great substitute bus when metro is down which is a lot !) and the 200 route but it is unfortunate the 200 route was changed to terminate at Gore Hill when it originally terminated at Chatswood. Now to get to the East from the North is a hassle with transfers instead of one bus scenic route! Even more outrageous when the M40 from Chatswood direct to Bondi Junction was scraped!
@dulcinealee3933 indeed, I used to ride M40 bus when I was going home back at primary school and it changed to 340 when sydney metro opened and suddenly got withdrawn. I also remember that 200 bus used to operate to chatswood from Bondi too...!
@@DemonkhryboisTransport-qf4en M40 scraped because people would get confused between Metro teal driver less train and M40 Metro red bus both departing from Chatswood. One lady actually got confused between the double decker red Explorer tourist bus and the red M series of buses departing from the CBD. It seems the North to East connection is neglected very much like their 1979 Eastern suburbs train line and stations - smally dirty old in urgent need of a total refurb including the Tangaras .

I got onto the 294 Bus back on Friday. I planned to get the 259, But i will have to do it on a different day before August 4th. Im Busy during the Term because of School. The Reason why the 294 is Withdrawn is because of Duplication with other Bus Routes on Epping Road and People need to take the Metro to the City. It was my First Time on the 610X. The 294 will be gone when the 288 be Shortened to Terminate at Macquarie Centre.
@ethans-dk4bk I see thank you very much for your info! But I'm sure you would've loved on riding 294 on the other day! And 259 runs on weekends too so why don't you ride 259 on weekend if you have time? And I know that 288 will terminate at Macquarie soon too

Which route do you think you will miss the most?
@jamieferguson935 maybe 294... cuz it operates between Wynyard and Macquarie and it operates during peak hour times only so I'll be missing 294 bus a lot...
