My mother was the lady in the white dress in the bar room scene. I never got to see the video until I found it on here (some 25+ yrs later)!..My mom passed away aug 1st, 1999 from heart failure/COPD complications... She really admired Natalie Cole and meeting her was one of the greatest moments of her life. I wish she could have seen this video! I hope they are both resting peacefully....
Sounds like a Pointer Sister song to me. Nevertheless, it was a great song by a gifted artist. Thank you for some wonderful classics. Now, rest in his arms #legend.
awesome song and awesome video. love this upbeat spirited 1980s sound. a crime this was never aired on mtv even in the late 1980s when this song was a few years old this video should have been aired.
Thanks for sharing your Son with us in Video Natalie Cole...May he rejoice in your Arms again and you welcome him with Open arms may he rest in Peace with you and your Father and Mother Rip in Peace Robert
OMG THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR FINDING THIS!!!! I wrote it, recorded it, produced it record but never got a copy of the video! At long last it now sees the light of day! (Only wish it didn't have the overlay logo) but am happy to see this once again! Thanks again soo much!
Was the music business that selfish back then? The Modern Records label or MTV (and even BET then) could’ve gave you a copy since you were a part of it.
I was excited and happy to see my girl Nat back where she belongs; wrote dozens of letters to her wishing & Praying For Her complete recovery from rehab; Now! Natalie Cole Rocks! @Debra Lee @BET @vervemusicgroup
I was lucky to meet Natalie back in 1985 in Las Vegas...She opened her show with this song in a bright red dress.. This song of her is my favorite...!!!! May She Rest In Peace...!!!! 😪🎶💔
I remember seeing the late, great Natalie Cole perform this song on "Solid Gold" when I was 12! I actually bought a 45 of this great song two years ago, and it reminds me of "Jump (For My Love)" by the Pointer Sisters!
These two girls at my school were cloggers, and one year for the talent show they did a clogging routine to “Jump For My Love”. The next year they did one to this.
Okay, I know EXACTLY where I was when this hit came out. I was in Dallas Texas for weekend conference for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). What the club's name was, I have NFI, but when I heard the voice of the singer, I KNEW WITHOUT QUESTION that it was MyGirl Miss Natalie. It reminds me of the TV series of old NAME THAT TUNE..."I can name that tune in...." Y'all know what I'm talkin' 'bout! (pardon me for saying I can do that with a NUMBER of songs...just don't ask me to do it noiw.) LOL
For obvious reasons, I cant help but to think that this was originally meant for the Pointer Sisters. 😂 Actually, after digging up some info, it looks like this song and the Pointer Sister's "Jump" had the same songwriters and producers on both songs! Lol I KNEW it!!!

She was very beautiful lady. I pray she’s in heaven
God bless!❤
She was WORKIN' that peplum!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The song was also a Top 20 R&B hit as well. Wish it was played way more, especially on old school stations.
This brings back the best memories! Rest In Peace Natalie Cole! The young guy really favors Sylvester Stallone.
I did so much Aerobics to this song in the 1980’s - one of my favorites
Oh God I love Natalie Cole so much! I miss this song way back 1985! Rest In Peace. I will "Dangerous"ly "Miss You Like Crazy"!
Brotha Man, YOU AIN'T LYin'

So much fun dancing to this in the clubs back in the day. R.I.P. Miss Cole.

Yes initially we wrote it as a Jump For My Love follow up!
Love this song! have not heard it in awhile. really a great upbeat feel good tune
This was filmed at the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles. Heart did a video there too and it was also used in Blade Runner.
+David G. Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation mini movie was filmed there too, as was Tonight Tonight Tonight by Genesis.
Also a well known episode of Outer Limits. Demon with a Glass Hand.
cher's 1979 "take me home" video too me thinks
I thought that was Bradbury Building (great!) in downtown LA. Thanks for identifying.
awesome song and awesome video. love this upbeat spirited 1980s sound. a crime this was never aired on mtv even in the late 1980s when this song was a few years old this video should have been aired.
I always listened to these words as though she were singing about her struggle with substances abuse rather than a dangerous lover.
I miss her. RIP

She looked extremely pretty in this video
Top drawer stuff
Close enough. Marti Sharron, one of the co-writers of "Jump," wrote, arranged and produced this record. Not a bad record at all!
Sounds very Pointer Sisterish, (e.g. Jump (For My Love) Natalie must of had the same producer who did the Pointer Sisters.
You have a very good ear. I looked it up and both songs were co-produced by Gary Skardina.
same writers but Produced by Marti Sharron and Gary Skardina
This got lots of play in the gay dance clubs!
Great upbeat song great video yet no one seemed to have seen this in 1985 yet you could not Escape Whitney Houston she was so over promoted
Unfortunately you are right Natalie was never given the respect she deserved! Even in Death! RIP Diva
i have a cassette tape with this song on it. i think its the whole album its cool wouldn't've known who she was without it.
3:07 rocker woman on the left of the screen
Even the not-so-great songs of the 80's were better than today's crap!
Great memories at the disco in 1985. Danced the hell outa of this song. Natalie Cole you are the bomb!!
Love me some Natalie Cole and this wonderful Song 😀😀👍👍 Missing you my favorite musical Queen 😥😥
RIP, Natalie - you'll be remembered!

This song is written by the same guy that wrote Jump for the Pointer sisters.
Loved this when it came out and still love it today. Now if only someone can find and post the video for Too Much Mister I'd be a very happy boy
Christopher Carter that video is posted now
Dangerous as a whole is my favorite collection of Natalie's music
Donno who did it first, but the backing music and melodies and Ponyer Sister's Song is a Copy & Paste, Jump for you My Love.
same writers asked to write a follow up to JUMP
